Edited by: Joshua Calvert on 08/10/2004 18:20:52 Those hornets are really really scary. Imagine one of those buggers stinging you.
I notice the guy said a few of the hornets die in each attack but they still kill the entire bee population; why don't the bees learn about how to combat the hornets?
Do you think the hornets haven't been a threat to the bees for very long so they haven't hads time to adjust their behaviour to combat it?
Normally situations in nature aren't this one-sided

well they can defend them selfs. first. armor of the wasps is just to powerfull. meaning the bees cant sting em to death.
so what eh bees do is that they gather around a wasp and grabing it from all sides. when they have a ball of bee s around the wasp they start to vibrate with their wings. you see. the bee's die at 42,8 something deegres. while the was dies at 42,6.
so they bascily cook the wasp to death.... so they normaly find and kill the scout. but if the scout gets back. then its to late. becuz they help eachother and kill all the bees before they can gang up.

the bees use another well know strategy: outbreed the enemy/odds
even the paranoid has real enemies...
