Considering the average CA member I see represented on the boards, I find any sign of their hatred towards us evidence we are doing well.

The poor decisions that leading figures in CFS have made make me wonder if their shares in BIG might be under threat if they dont toe the FA (read BIG / Xanadu) line. C'mon Conrad how much cash are you making from FA to sell CFS to the waiting FA wolves?
Ahh how respectful. So you not only kill the CFS members directly but also insult their integrity. Simple fact is that they have NO reason to trust you. You kill them, you break treaties with them AND you continuously and explicitly insult them. We do not kill CFS ships, we hold up to our agreements with them and we treat them with respect. It is inconceivable to conclude from these premsises that we are evil much less the greater of two evils.
Quote:
Its completely laughable that BIG make these announcements whilst the current situation goes on.
You mean the situation where you continue to kill and insult CFS, explicitly threatening the escalation of said activity should they not accede to your demands?
Rather it is laughable that you threaten, disrespect and destroy people and then expect them to agree or implicitly allie with you.
Quote:
Whilst ever the situation doesnt change i will continue to post along these lines. Jackass or otherwise (2 personal insults in 2 posts I notice by the way, bravo to you, i'll take that as you have no reasoned argument and thus will lose).
I insulted you because you sir, are a ****ant & a jackass. You are incoherent and are clogging someone else's thread with political nonsense and propoganda. To this end you are disrespectful and are therefore yourself worthy of no respect.

Congratulations are in order Tornsoul.
The BIG deal is a great achievement. At a time when scams for buying blue print orginals was running rampant you introduced something that was dependable and rewarding for the Eve community.
In effect a short cut to battleship blueprint copies for smaller corporations.
You and the team in BIG handling the BIG deal deserve respect. I can say this even if I'm a BIG'un because the BIG deal (and the BIG lottery for that matter) would NEVER have come to happen if somebody else was in charge - like me for instance :)
Both ideas are simply to much work and to little payback. That should be a hint to the people who likes to flame and troll our announcements.
If you need it any more clearly put: I have been very close to both the BIG deal and the Lottery for +1 year. If Tornsoul left the game I can pretty much assure you that both programs would get dismantled (in a professional manner ofcourse)!
Closing I would like to add that trolling and flaming this thread on this forum is actually ok - tho annoying. This is the corporation forum and I do find it acceptable that CA & friends try to throw in a bit of sour grapes.
But please stop trolling the threads on the event forum! Eve is not all alliance politics. There are some players in empire space that are truly annoyed by the offtopic remarks that has been posted lately.

Those that have read my article will come away with the idea that the BIG DEAL is not as good for people today as it was 12 months ago.
This pretty much is a fact and it is because of falling BPc prices.
The BIG DEAL itself will have contributed to this.
I also point out if you actually wish to buy a Battleship BPO, the BIG DEAL is ideal.
To quote myself (a nasty habit I know)
Quote: where the BIG DEAL still wins is as a scheme for an individual to be able to buy the BPO outright by simply purchasing shares till they own the whole 10. Once the individual has bought all 10 shares of the BPO, it becomes theirs, effectively all the BPC they have received from it were "free".
I shall be doing a small follow up piece on the BIG article in EG which will deal more thorougly with this area. I did not do it within the original article for the simple reason there was enough going on in it and it was not the focus of the piece in the first place. ******** AUTHOR of the COMPLETE mineral and ore Price guide, updated weekly, see Eve Guardian for details

A few points Baun regarding your last post.
Fistly, I did not insult CFS leadership, I'm merely questioning their integrity. If i was a CFS member I would be asking why the CFS leadership has given away the family silver (ie the stations) for no apparent return for CFS. I therefore suggested that personal gain may have been involved and thats the reason why CFS leadership have made such unfathomable decisions.
Please could you tell me what exactly CFS et al get in return from FA, you dont defend the stations you hold, you errr well you dont seem to do very much except get rich and blob up in yz when threatened.
Also ive spoken to CFS members in local, they arent as blind as you would think, I honestly believe alot would have turned against FA if they thought they could trust CA. That fact is something that CA would have to work on.
As for my posts being incoherent political propoganda, theres none so blind as those who wont see.
I think you will find that for most CFS members i have spoken to their real "big deal" is self governance and not to be getting blown to high heaven, that wont happen whilst FA are on the scene.

They offer a service and get some reward, a whole bpc/week *gasp*, for it. I dont see a problem with this for all the work it costs. Although this was more when they started, bpc's arent worth more than 1-2mil now so the "profit" they get from it is hardly worth it.

lol. i fail to see the connection between the big deal and cfs, guess i'd have to be CA for that ;)

i really enjoy it how the ca flamesquad blows the "profit" totally out of proportion.
1 bpc is maybe 2-3 mil at max (depending on the shiptype and me) but big also has to pay the labslot for 2.5 rents a week which easily makes 500k. And considering the money they put in open shares so a bpo is always possible thats simply laughable. If big just bought 1 bpo themself instead of beeing part in 11 bpos they would make same or more profit then this way.
Fact is Big gives ppl the opportunity to buy in on a deal and to get after a few month (time u might need to save up some isk) a fully researched bpo while already making money from it during the time.
I always hear how they do it all for themself but i think its a good community thing, helping newer players and i.e. with their big lottery adding much to the atmosphere.
What similar have single other corps or the CA as an alliance to offer ? I only see "yada yada we pwn you suck" "we uber you nub" and "let me blow the rest of eve up" threads from u guys.
Big has a good and trusty reputation cause they worked for it, you havent, ask yourself why.
Last but not least about the CFS issue, they are only interesting to you because it would hurt fa. Anyone here, even the "local chats" would lie saying its not obvious and noone has a second of a doubt you only care bout yourself and would shoot them up in a month or 2 because one of your battleships (fully insured) isnt given permission to pass ? (lol yes we need a cause to attack someone so lets grasp some straws will we?). Now the always asked question is what is in for cfs if they would be fighting against FA ? Chances might be high they lose. This means fa simply adds more territory and CFS loses space and their chances to mine and npc because the space would most likely be closed. Even if they win their stations and FA is enough distracted with CA to let it rest for now they would have ruined their political ties and have an enemy close by who might not forgive and forget. So sooner or later it comes back. Pretty much for an alliance which is more an idea then a forged community. Tho i can see the CA freedom fighters wishing the best for all the surpressed smaller and weaker alliances. I remember how you helped and still help Xetic who are clearly weaker then u are ?

Yup. I stumbled across the little band of BIG as far back as sept. or oct. of 2002. I departed their circle, as well as EVE generally a long time ago. But they are composed of almost mostly the same members then as now. To say the least, I have yet to encounter a more standup cast. They pay attention to any forms of organization that can enhance the scope and breadth of gameplay. It's what they do.
Their goal has been to become an entire faculty or mechanism within EVE the same way the market or escrow or insurance is. The way every such mechanism is built is organization and trust, which BIG have managed to acquire and retain in ample supply.
And for good reason. Any member (or close ally! see the trust thing growing?) of BIG would be the first person I would turn to if I were negotiating through a third for a volatile transfer such as a set of lab slots, given an operative was in the area.
Everyone applauds when notable notables on the shady side of EVE push redistributive gameplay to new levels (m0o, evo?, polaris etc.), but why neglect a profitable opportunity to partake in the mental efforts and expansive social structures who's founding has been undertaken by those on the constructive end of EVE?
