I think its safe to say that you can continue as much as you can.
If CCP intervenes in some way you can back off and try again later. A good poker player knows when to flinch.
I was a victim, got upset and made an ass of myself.
I am not much of a PVPer . I did find manufaturing and choose to make money this way. Buy low end stuff make a ship and sell it to turn a profit which ranges to 10-30% of the value of the ship. Prices do rise and fall so there is always a risk involved. It is not that difficult, dont forget this is a game, and you almost always turn a profit the question is how much, do you bid for the materials or just buy them were people are offering. Wait to get them cheaper or get them now but a bit more expensive. Anyway this is probably all boring to you and i can understand that if that is the case
There is another reason that i choose to play this way, I did not originaly have as much time for the game as i would like, and i choose to contribute in the game this way.
It is perfectly viable for CCP to decide to take manufacturing and mining out of the game, gradually, I am not sure what your thougths are on this. I agree mining is boring and more boring to some people than others, hands down there. But that might be extreeme and a caniving thing to say anyway (remove ming and manufacturing, burn jita!)
You can make a lot more money missioning than manufacturing, but you have to be active all the time. So you might even consider my play-style a cheat coz i dont spend enough time in the game and when i do there is a chance I might try to figure out something on a spreadsheet or look at a site and boom goes the hulk, tears aggrevation embarasment ridicule etc..
It has always been my plan to do some pvp. The isk is important coz there are loses involved. But i probably never will. Not because i am quiting the game but because you do tend to stick with something that works for you. After all i could join red vs blue and play with cheap frigates or something.
I have played "PVP" games and once I snatched victory at the last minute by turning "the tables around" hitting for massive damage and hey.. it felt good. Guy didnt just lose the fight he lost the floor under his feet too. That was lucky. Definately exciting but lucky too.
I also did play an online space-fighting FPS game, went agst a huge ship, a duel, all guns blazing and won out of something called a cockpit hit (like a head-shot). That was a hell of a moment too.
In the 10 years that i have on and off played EVE i have tried originally to get into corps and try to get to 0.0 space. It didnt happen. Unlucky i guess.
What now? As for the hulk well i have asked for my money back, they did offer some money but we didnt settle. Maybe it was a genuine offer maybe not. I am trying to get some revenge by hiring mercs etc.
Any decent poker player should know when to quit. As people should know what suits them and what doesnt.
I also hear of Burn-Jita and all that. I dont mind either. I always thought that how Jita first appeared was a bit suspicious. Strange might be a better word. You log in after a short abscence and ..look at that! How did that happen?! Maybe it was one or a few players maybe not, who knows. I am glad there is a decent market in other nearby areas, and definately its a bother to have to haul your stuff to JIta to sell them every time.
At the same time, sometimes its nice to have a place where you can find almost anything.
Anyway i am sure CCP will try to make this game better for all involved and wish you good hunting after all its a space fighting game not a mining or manufacturing game.
I am just offering opinion here. Not asking for anything.
About the bounty i have petitioned CCP about it, I dont know if i will get my money back. After all, i didnt pay to get isk back, but if they do take it out of the player who did a Blondie-Tuko play..well, you have been warned. What i "nice" guy i am eh?
It is a broken mechanic and has not been removed which is somewhat scammy of CCP.
As for my dear offenders, lets play this out for the remainder of my time here, which is at most a month.
And lets kick things up. If you want to settle now, the price just went up. Just in case there is a soft spot in you, i hope this removes it ;)
