If it's not just a scam to make you think everything is still on and extend the hulk kills for a few weeks. These are the same guys who regularly scam people in recruitment campaigns.

The bounties paid are peanuts compared to what the goons make from the inflated mineral/ice prices. After all, they can mine ore/ice in their space without much fear and have the logistics to bring their goods to high sec markets.
I think them sustaining it indefinitely is a real thing as it is sustainable for them from a business stand point. They make more from selling ice/minerals at the inflated prices than they pay out in bounties.
Granted, I have no access to their books so I have no way of verifying this, but from a business standpoint, this appears to be their angle. I could be completely wrong.
I don't make minerals. I just make ore 20% cooler. |

Hmmm, I'll bite. :)
Perhaps this is a means of diversifying their incomes in anticipation for the ring mining that may break up OTEC and reduce their raw income from tech moons. I know that the goons are aware of that change, and have already stated that they've been planning accordingly.
It could also be related to denying casual/independent players the benefits of POS ownership, given what this is doing to ice prices across the board, though this may just be a side-effect of hulkageddon.

This is nonsense. Anyone who believes this is a tool. What will happen is people will believe it, go kill 10 miners, ask the Goons for cash, the Goons won't pay up but instead will laugh because they got miners killed and simultaneously scammed the perpetrator, word will get round that the Goons don't pay up and within a week everyone will stop trying to do it.
All posts claiming cash bounties are received will be from Goon alts attempting to continue the scam. |

We paid out during Hulkageddon. If we failed to pay out now the "Scam" would last all of 2 days and then get burned on the forums. That's not what we want--dead exhumers is the goal, not put-out pirates.

Not only does it pay but I was paid a substantial bonus for tagging my 10 in a short time frame. If they are okay with revealing teh amount I will as well, but if the bonus system isn't set in stone I don't want to put words in their mouths, maybe they were just feeling generous that one time. |

Hulkageddon or not, I just LOVE killing Hulks...well miners in general. I don't discriminate. It's a self sustaining model. Gank. Loot. Salvage. Sell. Buy more gank ships. Rinse and repeat. Hell, steal their ore and build moar Catalysts! Even if you throw 3-4 gank Catalysts at a Hulk, it almost always allows you to break near even. Oh, and go for the pods! Those are the best. Nothing more wonderful than setting someone back 3/4 of a bill like this: Life is like a box of choc-o-lates
If miners don't want to come to low or null to mine, I'll just come to highsec to kill em. If anything, it's more challenging and satisfying.

I think I may have made a mistake somewhere... I registered my API-key with Eve-kill with KillLog and no expiration. But the 10th API verified Exhumer kill is approaching 5 days; factoring in the 48 hours waiting period, closing in on 3 days.
This is something my friend and I are very interesting in doing, so I've been running around forum after forum trying to figure out if I made a mistake and what it was. But despite all that research I can't seem find anything. But, it doesn't make sense I must have missed something.
Even with a registered API-key on Eve-kill allowing automated API verified kills, do I still need to link the kills somewhere myself? Have you received any automated information from Eve-kill about me at all?
Sorry, carebear turned bad this is all new to me.

Recruitment scams? If these people can't be bothered to google something before handing out 'x' amount of cash, they NEED to be separated from it ASAP, it's going to a FAR better place. Think about what you learned. Call it a 500 million ISK Skillbook, lol.

Do you normally dabble in futile efforts? It's highly unlikely you'll pop one of my Catalysts on gate. Do you think I'm dumb enough to not scout the gate first before I jump? Maybe I'm already in your system logged off and as such have no need for jump gates. Even if you were lucky enough to catch me before I turn you ship into, I make on average twice the amount of my lost ship on the salvage and loot from your Hulks. My last kill graced me with 3 intact armor plates, which will net me a good 45mil at least. So you see, Maxi dear, my losses are already covered. Your Hulk and it's total lack of any meaningful insurance; not so much.
