Just a general question, why on earth are there no sheep in the Eve universe?
They are such fun loving animals, that you would have thought the orginal explorers of the Eve universe would have brought these creature with them, before the Gate closed to our universe.
This is a question that is really bugging me!!!

Short answer: there don't appear to have been any Kiwis among the original Eve settlers, therefore no sheep came with them.
They would be an interesting addition to the universe, but I'm too afraid what some pilots would do with them during those long flights between destinations.

you my freind are quite wrong let me tell u a long tail of a new zealand colonial desendent.
shortly after the eve gate collapsed the new zealander colonials were left to survive in this harsh climate along with their sheep. time went buy technologies grew space fearing was invented empires where forged.
during this process the sheep evolved, the original human "kiwis" decided pirating was good and set forth to 0.0 space while the newly evolved sheep's decided to head to empire were concord would better protect them from their ebil masters.
you can infact see sheep roaming freely through yulai and newcaldari bleeting about the price of zyadrine and the lack of research labs, and also complaining some ebil kiwi colonial just wtfpowned them and their indy in a .4 while they were mining jaspet.
so their plenty of sheep around they just look like u and me.

Last I checked cattle was the collective name for a bunch of cows but hey...
Anyways,we don't need sheep in EVE. Sheep have the annoying habit of thinking that if they stare long enough then that car won't hit it. I won't mention the result

I've hit 2 sheep in my car.
First I scooped up off the road, it then proceeded to roll down the road cartoon style when my tyres finally gripped. It ran off and left me with the cleanest bonnet I have ever seen on a car, it was spotless. (mental note: invent new car cleaning product 'sheep shine')
Second decided to eat some grass next to a particuarly dodgy hairpin corner on the moors in winter. I hit a patch of ice and the back end spun out. I heard a dull thud and a BAAAAaaaaaa. Got out of the car and went to the crash barrier and looked over what turned out to be a cliff. This one wasn't so lucky, all I could see was a woolly ball with its feet in the air.

Edited by: Norsten on 14/10/2004 10:56:58 from the dictionary:
1. Any of various chiefly domesticated mammals of the genus Bos, including cows, steers, bulls, and oxen, often raised for meat and dairy products.
2. Humans, especially when viewed contemptuously or as a mob.
so sheep cannot be classified as cattle
i like the humans part, never heard it used in that context before
also from the dictionary:
sheep: A person regarded as timid, weak, or submissive.
