You're a bit late... some people have been doing that for over a month... just look at the graphs.

Indeed. Most sub 500 p/u salvage spiked anywhere from 50-500% after the devblog about redistributing salvage drops. They are just now seeing a decrease in price (although not nearly back to where they were before).

A bit late. That out of the way - who knows. You propably will get some profit out of it. Before you dive in I would suggest however take a good look at rigs in general and figure out why the "crap" salvage is crap. As far as I understand you will not be able convert one salvage type to another - all you will be able to do is to "fuse" that t1 salvage into T2 one of same type. And it's not reasonable to assume that rigs that are "crap" at T1 level will be considerably more popular at T2 level.

Crap rigs will for the most part remain crap rigs,
some crap rigs may start being in demand though if they give you something usefull for the smaller ships and the price on them stays cheep.
and lets be honest, how many people will be bothering to rigging "step up" ships sutch as Frigates-Destroyers-cruisers/BCs for mission runners even at a fraction of the price of large rigs?
and even if you fly a smaller than large ship if your flying it because its a fodder ship your probably still not planning on rigging it.

0.0 pvp players will go for rigging everything, provided rigs are cheap enough. I think that small and medium rigs will be a high volume low margin market, while the large ones will remain premium items. I do foresee an increase in salvaging.
