1) Dust troops are jump clones. They go where ever the clone vat is deployed.
2) Eve players will have no direct influance of the console game past setting up merc contracts.
3) See 1 and 2
4) all of this is guesstimation from the bits and pieces of info released so far.

not quite true. Eve players will have to pump isks and equip into the ground troups for them to be successfull
Well yeah but thats an indirect influance I already covered with the merc contracts line. Granted they have the option to do that to increase the chances of success yes but an already established dust merc corp should already have the needed materials at hand for when there is no eve based sponser.

Not sure about this. At least this one article in german that was linked in the other thread suggests there is quite a bit more interaction planned.
Right. Thats whats planned for the future but in the speech it seems he was saying that only the sov and merc contracts with supplies are the interactions that will be in the initial release.

Ok, well can a pod pilot blow it up? If so, bring on the blobs.

Originally by: Adunh Slavy Wonder if Dust players will have to buy clones and have skill points. Can't imagine they will loose SP or anything significant for dying. Considering how much dying goes on in FPS games. Not to mention the the whines that will result when someone camps a dust spawn point. Spawn, zap, gibs, sp loss, spawn, zap, sp loss ... bad idea. CCP, I hope, understands the mindset of the console FPS player.
They will probably use a system similar to plantside with xp being given out for each type of role and weapon you are successfully using. Death will be no biggie as you will probably have some sort of combat clone vat you can respawn in. Pretty much just like planetside. Damnit ccp better give us some moar info before fan fest past the not funny anymoar Soon......
