The biggest change to EVE since launch, and all the information we have on it is from 3rd party, German websites.
Then we are told that further information won't be forthcoming until OCTOBER, at Fanfest.
Does CCP have a PR department? Have they been fired over this debacle?

You're surprised? Even with expansions, the playerbase is usually the last to know. __________________

Yeah, because holding information back for weeks after the initial surprise announcement about something arguably a LOT more important than new rigs having to be translated and all is a great idea, especially considering that Fanfest will be filled with the one group of players they've completely cut off from Dust!
I know the whining gets old but that doesn't excuse CCP's massive PR failure. ----

Nothing new here, it's the way they work.
Don't think you're 'special' or important to CCP, we're punters, that's it.

Maybe you can all boo and jeer at fanfest like the townhall meetings here in the US ---- a reply which adds nothing to a thread or results in a thread being bumped with no new discussion worthy content is considered spam and as such warrants a forum ban |

It's also BS they want to remove this from general discussion to OOPE, since DUST clearly AFFECTS EVE GAMEPLAY AS ANNOUNCED.
Removing discussion from this forum is appropriate only if they intend to remove the 0.0 Sov affecting nature of DUST, which would make it truly a separate game.
The reason why they are not being forthcoming is because Devs rarely like to discuss bad things, things that may make people unsubscribe, until they absolutely have to.
All I can say, is that if they make people wait until fanfest, then lay this out the way it looks like it's going to be, they probably better make sure they are standing behind chicken wire.
This is only going to get ugly. Closing threads and not engaging your customers on this is only going to make it worse, not better, CCP. Don't take customer service lessons from SOE.

Maybe because they don't want to release more information at this point? Maybe they haven't fully decided the details, so there is nothing to release?
I'm also curious as to how it's the biggest change since launch. Surely, Exodus and RMR, and certainly Cold War, completely blow a mere sov-mechanic tweak out of the water?
In fact, for all we know, the introduciton of HICs is a bigger change than Dust will be… ——— “If you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡… you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.” — Karath Piki |
