What a bunch of ungrateful Sons-of-*****es we are.
6,200 macro-miners and isk farmers banned, and what do we do? Complain about DUST.
Credit where credit is due gentlemen. Every carebear in Eve has moaned about macros since time immemorial. The CCP response, though slow in coming, was measured, extensive and by all accounts extremely effective. We've been seeing the positive effects since late June. Removing 6000+ paying accounts is no small matter for any company - and CCP is a private company after all.
Fifteen euro a month does not entitle you to unlimited whinging rights. Get on with the game, that is what we're here for, right?

if removing 6000 players makes you say nothing has changed than you will never be happy, you've just lost your right to complain about anything.

Last I looked on the blog, they only temp banned them, CCP won't give up 6000 odd paid subscriptions, they need to fund their new console game.

As I understood it, dizzy, they temp banned, then perma banned when the macros resumed their activity. I'm happy to be corrected on this all the same

Dust is simply the new whinge on the block. Judging by the declining activity of the current dust threads it should be back to normal when the patch hits in the morning. Now when ccp gives us some new info on dust expect it to balloon up in popularity again. But hopefully by then they will have a better mod presence when it happens.

You are correct of course, I was flamebaiting, but alas, unsuccessful. 
Although Avernus was a semi success, regardless they'll say I'm trying to backpedal, so even more fun.

On the forums maybe, since that's where everyone goes to ZOMGPANICMODE. Reaction I've seen in-game has generally been cautious optimism - if CCP can pull this off it'll truly be groundbreaking. Of course, if they do it wrong they could break two games once in a moment of epic failure not seen since NGE, but I'm withholding any judgment 'till we see all the details. It also gives a very plausible reason for why WiS is taking so long, if there will be any face to face interaction between the games that's where it'll be at.
A few people who have a vested interest in keeping things exactly as they are now are making a lot of noise. CCP knows better than to listen to people screaming on the forums, if they want honest community feedback that's one of the functions of the CSM.
