Now its going to sound like I am bitter here but tell the truth I am not. I just wondering about the NPC stations in 0.0 space.
Will they ever be changed in any way to make them conquerable?
I only ask as with the coming of Shiva and the POS in some regions of 0.0 why would any of the current residence need to build such things?
Note. I am a Xetic member so we have to live with the fact all our stations can be taken. Just wondering if there was anything in place?
and to roughly quote a member of an alliance.
"We don't care if you take our stations, we have plenty of NPC ones. But by taking yours we are taking your homes!"

*Why haul mins 13 jumps+ when you can haul them to your POS moon? *boo NPC stations wont shoot my enermy when they arrive :/ *Think i head you can make tch 2 parts with ores from moon mining to? *A 50k forcefield to help protect your ships while defedning it. *...and last but not least its YOUR OWN station.
Just a few i can think of.

you should be thankfull that in your space your station are only conquerable. why you ask? Easy, while a large fleet is needed to take over your stations, every single hostile ship is able to dock at NPC stations and refit his ship. He can build, refine and do all the things needed to build up a military base for attacking your own ppl. When there are only conquarable station, your enemys arent able to dock as long as the dont take them with force. No small gankers are able to dock and refit or hide. You should be thankfull for this tactical advantage your Alliance has, instead of complaining not having some. _____________________________________ Dead or Alive

well imo, basically it doesn't matter if its 0.0 or not. If the space is claimed by a NPC faction (like the Syndicate for example), why shouldn't there be npc stations?

Because they don't run economy or the law of the land there. They are merely a few rat in the belt and thats it.
Plus it gives a lot more to fight over, to win and to lose. -----------------------------

POS, First thing that will happen is a bunch of the we must have alliances will get them as a matter of principle.
Within a week we will see all the posts of how this or other corp POWNED this or that POS, the screaming will start and as soon as POS defenses come upp the screaming will be as much from the attackers claiming the stations are unkillable as station owners screaming its too easy to kill em.
Seeing as both sides probably will have their shares of carebears this is very predictable.
After a while this will calm down and the POS that are defended will be strategicly placed so as to increase alliance profits and they will be guarded by large fleets.
Smart alliances will stay with NPC stations and stations that can be taken over.
As for the NPC stations, no I doubt they will ever be conquerable, the NPC stations have the strength of always being there but also the weakness in that you cant block other people from docking there.
In short, POS will have their benefits, manly they are 100% player owned. Conquerable stations will have their benefits, mainly being strategicly placed but with the anoying weakness that they can be taken over. NPC stations can be in strategic locations but as they are 0% player owned you can never really block a player from using it.
