HIya all..
i've been doing kill missions for the fed navy for a while now - went from an imicus (drone frig) to a vexor, and now a thorax...
but, i tried a incursus the other day and got killed in short time :(
I keep hearing about the rifter yada yada... are there gallente frigates which can do higer leve kill missions?
(and hints for setup?)

Well, if any, its going to be the Tristan - its the only gallente frigate with the CAP to try an pull that off.
Now, you could *try* using rails + Iron and outrange your opponents ... not going to happen against higher level spawns...
You could *try* a 10MN AB + antimatter blasters... but frankly, train up Amarr frigate and get a punisher. Its king of the 10MN AB non elite frigates.

I can do pretty much every lvl 3 kill mission in my incursus. The only two exceptions that I can think of are the mordus and the important kill that spawns the 30k inty. (I think it was the merc wingman, whom I can kill using a kestrel, but not the incursus).
I use an oversized ab and blasters. I prefer the incursus over the tristan because the incursus can outrun heavy missles, whereas the tristan cannot using the 10mn ab.
pm me if you want my setup, or wanna do some lvl3 kills with me using frigs.

I use a Tristan now and then when I get bored of running missions in a thorax or maller. Nice ship, though the lower base speed means you have to rely on defenders and smartbomb for heavy missile defense.
Even though the Incu looks good on paper, for some reason I always seem to go kaboom while flying it whereas the Tristan usually gets me home safe. :).
Don't remember my exact setup, but the key components are 2 x neutron blasters, rocket launcher, smartbomb, 10mn ab, webber. small armor repair. Cap recharge stuff and power auxes as required, if I recall my setup *just* fits into 68 grid. Use named and/or tech2 stuff when possible, in particular a t2 smartbomb is nice - makes for good additional offense on the side.
Web and orbit at close range, use armor repair to do repairs as needed. If facing missile spammer load defenders and be quick with smartbomb, otherwise spam with rockets. Know when to run away :).
It's a bit risky but it's fun as hell. Haven't tried Mordus yet with it, intend to at some point "just because"...

so... going to use a tristan now :) just need to learn a few skills to use missiles.

Yup, also use a Tristan for some fun on some level 3s and most level 2s. It's a tough versatile frig. Can't see using a frig on the level 3 Mordus, wave, and blockade missions ... even if you succeed you just don't do enough damage fast enough to get the bonus, and of course there's no hope of picking up all the loot without coming back. Also can't see using a BS on level 3 missions ... totally unnecessary and takes the fun out of it.
