Assistance Mission briefing I understand that youÆre seeking a meeting with our Sinq Laison Regional Director. That would be Mr. Roire, Audalle Roire. He spends most of his time at our space-bound office complex here in Stetille. IÆm afraid heÆs not very fond of the media, and since they have free docking access to any of our publicly-listed stations, you can most often guess he wonÆt be in any of them. If you have any trouble finding him out there, just look for the Luxury Yacht on your scanner.
Assistance Objectives The following objectives must be completed to finish the mission:
Objective Meet with the Impetus Regional Director Audalle Roire.
Rewards The following rewards will be yours if you complete this mission:
Bonus Rewards The following rewards will be awarded to you as a bonus if you complete the mission within 3 hours and 14 minutes.
Sounds simple enough right? Rewards are small(and didn't paste) so no big deal. I'll just warp in with my Lvl 5 fitted Ishtar(just in case) . . . .
And survive about 15 seconds after I get scrammed.
Full refund is required and you might want to fix this one before a million other podpilots lose ships with less tank and require the same. I'll reply with screenshots I've taken once they're uploaded.

Just a question. Lvl5 fitted ishtar that gets scrammed. What does lvl5 imply?

Helped a friend on this mission in my loltank drake. After a few of the BS got taken out (I admit to about 3 or so warps outs) I could tank them. His Domi's tank didn't last too long i think, but neither of us were scram'd.
Bad luck on losing a ship but its not impossible o7

I had a different problem with that mission. Roire, Audalle the white target that's a good guy took a hating to my drones and started shooting them. The drones in return decided to shoot and blow him up.
It's also a bit stupid how even if you warp in cloaked your blamed for the ships somehow following you. How do they follow a cloaked ship?

Managed to pick them all off at 100km and recover what was left.
It wasn't much.
I don't have a problem with a mission this hard. What I have a problem with is the 2m mission reward(after a 5m reward just for making the 8 jumps to see the agent) setting the expectation very low.
Also, having to fly over to the guy only to have 20 overlords land on my head while I'm scrammed. No way to make or keep distance since there's no time.
The guy also attacked me and I didn't even notice but my drones took him out. Evidently it was ok because the mission completed anyway.
CCP you have some more work to do.
And ninja, what are you doing in the mission boards? Don't you get enough tears in game! :-P

Take my advice. Treat these lvl 4 arcs as lvl 5 missions. Go in with a pod and scout before you warp a nice 1b ship in.
I still expect a refund and CCP to fix this. I've already talked to an ISD reporter about it and filed a petition.

If you're unfamiliar with a mission, scout it in a shuttle or pod. NPC's don't attack pods so you'll be fine. However, nobody will want to see you posting for reimbursement here when the shuttle gets blown up in a fraction of a second.

You guys are completely missing the point.
It's my lvl 5 ship and I lost it in a lvl 4 mission.
I'm suggesting it might be a tad bit hard for a lvl 4 and the CCP made a mistake. Reimbursement is implied(even though I know it will never happen because CCP never admits their mistakes).
Admittedly I posted this while still fuming. CCP never admits their mistakes(or QA tests for that matter).
If my tears make someone else happy well then great, at least someone gets something out of it. It's not going to stop the fact that CCP ****ed up and I'm paying the price.

If you think those missions were hard, wait until you get to the last 5~6 missions, including one in particular that pays 30 million, and makes the first 10 missions looks like a walk in the park to be honest.
Still,i managed to do it with a regular abbadon for the first 14 missions and a raven for the last 2,standard fits on both of course,so no faction or officer mods at all,and it was fun as hell, since i didn't do it for the isk,but rather follwing the storyline, having a say on how it develops, and yes, having to fight ships that i don't know ahead of time what type or the amount of them,or how much they can tank or the amount of damage they can do,plus some do have tendency to warp at point blank range too.
I wish all missions were this fun and hard, compared to the regular lvl 4's,which are boring and way too easy by comparison.

Reimbursement is given for GAME BUGS.
Even if it is unreasonably difficult, then you should not and will not be reimbursed.

I lost a Zealot after warping into a particularly difficult gatecamp. CCP didn't even warn me at all.
Obviously I've now made a petition for reimbursement. Just to make sure it gets noticed and actioned quickly, I sent it 3 times.

Fly a ship that has good buffer (which is not the ishtars thing), and shoot the scramblers first to get a second warp in attempt ?
If in real doubt, fly an insurable ship into unknown missions ?

If my tears make someone else happy well then great...
Feeding of other peoples tears is soooooo last month....
That mission is tricky since the rats spawn unexpectedly right on top of you. In my case while I was busy taking screenshots of the mission environment with the GUI turned off - Hehehe
Well, fortunatly I did not lose the ship (Had the Tank running as I usually do), but I did have to warp out and lost some drones - which rarely happens.
After that mission I decided to use a cheaper ship to continue with the arc - just in case...
Anyways - while I am sorry for your shiploss - you must be prepared to lose a ship in a mission. Be it an epic arc, or a normal one. It hurts, but it can happen.
If it makes you anymore happy - I am sure you are not the only one who lost a ship on that mission.
Should you get your ship back? It is up to CCP.
I lost a 600 mil mission boat a few years back (that was a hell of a lot of isk back then). I was less than pleased, but did not petition, since I felt if I lose a ship in a mission it is my prob, not CCPs. Funny thing is, that very mission I lost my ship in was declared as bugged by CCP a month or so later (was Zazzmathas right hand), and they changed it. I know the people that did petition ship losses from that mission did in fact get ships reimbursed.

^^ This. You screwed up. You did. There are absolutely no grounds for reimbursement here.
Oh, and stop clogging up the system with useless petitions. If you think the mission is bugged, file a bug report on it. ——— “If you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡… you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.” — Karath Piki |

I did this mission in a Domi with a few warpouts - went after the scrambling stuff first to make sure I could.
What annoys me most however is how CCP is fracking with the players later. They have all this fancy branching stuff but they do not give you a choice when it comes down to show that you are an inhumane slaughterer who kills people in a refugee camp just because.
And the end reward is either a 22km Drone Range Augmentor or a slightly improved Prototype Cloak. Does anyone really use prototype cloaks on a combat ship? I only use them on low sec haulers in case I run into a small gatecamp.
Compare this to the Caldari reward: an Mobile Lab that has an (in my eyes) improved slot layout. Even if sold at the NPC base price of the original item that's a 90M reward. Is anyone paying 90M for a 22km DRA?
I know that most players are Caldari, but so far I thought CCP did at least pretend to be impartial.
But, well, the "utterly fair treatment" the Federation got during the EA downtime should have told me otherwise. This just confirms it.

After just finishing the caldari epic arc I can say that the difficulty of these missions has increased. I think it's great, as just an arc of simple l4's would have been boring and pointless.
I got suprised, scared and had to call in help myself, which was fantastic. Almost losing my Golem a couple of times. This is what these missions should be, no more farming l4's, a bit of variety.
Well done CCP for putting the frightners on all who enjoy missions...

Not many ships neut you in those mission. maybe 4 bc max in a mission. And they are easily killable. No neut batleships, or tower at all. So yes very possible.
