Second pvp video. Been done for a week but i've been having a lot of trouble with my encoder. Really glad to finally have it up. I hope you guys enjoy it. Its entirely solo cyclone action, except for one fight where corp mate and I are in BSs. 100% minmatar... similar to my first... which id also linked if you missed it and have interest.

Edited by: Violatohr on 25/08/2009 13:59:03 Wow guys thanks for all the positive feedback. Great to see after getting blobbed and permajammed so frequently, makes it all worth it! :)
I hope Muad' Dib got it working. I encoded it with adobe encoder... its just a regular *.wmv file as far as i can tell. Force of Nature 2 |

Edited by: Violatohr on 26/08/2009 13:21:20 I figured hed wait to flag to when he got to zero and then would scram + web me, making pulling distance hard. He did that plus he had an AB (which i didnt know). So i loaded up hail hoping that my dmg plus sentries would overpower what i assumed was an active rep. Definitely a downside of the cyclone that i only have one slot for tackle to keep any semblance of a shield tank, i am forced to use a scram to hold things close, so i am never really able to engage outside of 9km.
Thanks for the comments, appreciate the input
I also wish it was longer :(, I tried for a solid week to get one more decent fight in a BC and mainly just got lots of massive local flares. Also essentially all of accursed either left or went inactive during this time, so to keep my eve sanity i put the movie out. What length of movie is a good length? I think both of mine have been around 15 mins. Force of Nature 2 |

Originally by: fmercury What are your thoughts on large vs. x-large boosters on the cyclone
More dmg on large booster, also much more cap stable. Dont have to worry about toggling ur booster on and off while trying to run mwd and scram and cap booster. Less micro management. Very susceptible to neuts. Low peak tank.
X-l booster. Less dmg (~60 less). Less tech 2 ammo, which can somewhat limit you in certain situations (i downgrade my missile launchers because my projectiles are much better). More micro management, very easy to cap urself out if ur not careful. Harder to overload because ur turning the shield booster on and off. More neut resistant as u can use ur cap quickly, converting it very fast to shield.
Overall i like the large fit if im 100% solo because the extra 60 dps will help when dealing with active tanks, the quicker you get something down the more manageable the incoming fire can become. And I find it a lot of micro management with the x-l which can be painful, and dangerous to capping out and losing MWD. For example the first time i ran the x-l, i managed to escape a mega gank, then get retackled because i had capped myself out running the xl . You can get good peak numbers with the x-l if u dont have to do it for long.

The music just felt cheesy for most part, mweh, like I said, I wasn't that thrilled.
On the flip side I found the video capture to be great and the fights themselves weren't onesided enough to make it a boring watch.
Sorry if I seem overly negative, it's really a good video it's just that I quite can't resonate with all of the positive feedback I'm seing in this thread.
Sry you didnt like it. Thanks for the input though. Run some of the numbers on the fit though, it may not be as 'fearsome' as you think. Remember that many other pilots in low sec are also using implants and pills making my advantage less. If you're doing anything outnumbered or outgunned it is important to squeeze as much as you can out of your ship.
As for no ships being on grid obviously exploiting my ships weaknesses, this takes time, and preparation this is not normally by blind chance (though that helps tremendously). If my ship is specifically vulnerable to a certain type of ship i am going to do everything in my power to make that ship's life difficult in exploiting my weakness, or delay its arrival or impact as long as possible while i attempt to deal with the rest of the gang. If that means moving gangs around for poor warp in spots for that support to add in or delaying engagements until certain ships are separated enough to have a chance, then ill try to do that. If a ship exploited my specific weaknesses then i would be foolish to let it engage me on its terms.
Anyways appreciate the post.

Endless is the best pilot i have ever flown with and by far the best eve pilot that i know. He is also a major part of the accursed, the banner that i fly under. Understand that a lot of work was put into the making of this movie and take from it whatever you want, i am trying to bring to you the best PvP that i have to offer. Im unbelievably happy that it was so well received, and thank everyone for helping me continue to play after all these years. If you do not like it plz do not spend hours of your time talking ****, i understand you dont like it, please can we move on. Force of Nature 2 |

As the passing Pilgrim in the Astarte fight I'm sure it would have been a solo win for you without my interference, but a flashy CS on a low-sec gate was too much temptation for me to pass :P
I still got that lewt from the astarte so i wasnt too upset, probably would have looked cooler .

Only thing I want to ask: Why do you fit medium guns on your Typhoon? Don't you lose half the ship's bonuses? Is it for the times when you find targets too small for your torpedos?
Yah grid is a pain on the phoon. Also dmg from the guns is pretty low, low from the torps too cause of sig but i digress..
Originally by: Endless Subversion Stop slacking off. Get number 3 out already! There has been a serious lull in awesome pvp videos and I want my frapsed pew pew fix!!
The process is not going very smoothly and im at the stage where i hate all my fraps...
I also am drinking away all of my weekends these days, which is killing my eve time.
Edit: And thx for the bumps! Force of Nature 2 |
