wat worked for me was waitign for them to aproutch the wreck and then pop the wreck and leave a smille in local :P repait the will probly continu and you have to stay polite never smack, whit this i kinda got a bunch of local ninja slavagers very very upset lol there tears fueled me :P
so the move to the wreck pop it and smile, you will lose the mony from it but get a good laugh from it.
o to most ninja salvagers did it ever acured that asking may get you somwhere, personaly i tend not to salvage or loot and dont mind somone salvage the wreck,s i leave behide if the dont ask whell then i like to have some fun whit them as whel.

Thank you, kind sir, for another Suddenly Ninjas recruitment thread.
I may also suggest, as happened to me recently, that the MR can simply abandon the mission. That's even more "in your face" than shooting the wrecks.
Have a nice day and I'll see you in your missions soon.

How to avoid having the salvage generated during your mission being liberated by professional salvagers (aka. Ninja):
1. Find out where everyone and their pet monkey is missioning. 2. Go somewhere else. 3. ?? 4. Profit.
Of course, other tools and habits that reduce ships likelihood of being scanned down help also.
And looking for scan probes (or anything else suspicious) near you regularly is a good idea, anyway. Even if you're in high sec space and there is only one other person in local with you, it's still a good habit to get into. Always best to assume that even that one other seemingly innocent person is up to no good and plan accordingly.

I've found that making fun of them in local when they warp in on you at the end of the mission while you've already salvaged everything yourself (yay drone boats <3 ) works rather well.
Granted that may make me more of a target to some, but I have yet to have anything stolen from me in a mission.

IMO, CCP should allow mission runners to attack the freeloaders. That would probably make them think twice before going in to your mission. Unless of course they are looking for a fight to begin with and salvaging is their second priority. Or maybe CCP could set up a public welfare system for those who are too lazy or too ignorant to work for it themselves. Someone who goes and takes stuff that they did not earn in a game where it is easy enough to earn yourself, probably has the same issues in RL. And when the flames start, then we know who a few more of those people/corps are. It is CCP's fault for condoning it.
Defined for the freeloaders Condoning: Definition: be willing to overlook something: to regard something that is considered immoral or wrong in a tolerant way, without criticizing it or feeling strongly about it. But that's just my opinion. Opinions are like !@#$%^&*, everybody has one.
Cheers .

Loving this one. Thats when I get my own 1000+ DPS combat ship and shoot all juicy BS rats in your mission. Not having to shoot small critters in missions is great, like ratting - in high sec --

roozter i hate to sound like a douche but could you try to keep it on topic? I Would hate to see this thread turned into another complaint post and merged with the other complaint posts. This post was ment to inform people on what they can do to avoid ninja's not what ccp should do about them.

You are hereby cordially and enthusiastically invited to expend as many cruisers as you wish in order to suicide as many of my Incursii as you like, as often as you want. If you would like to do it repeatedly in a single mission, I can make arrangements to accommodate you.

Definitive guide to evading 99% of ninja salvagers:
- Don't mission in a mission hub
That's it. That's the guide... Oh you want the OTHER guide?
Definitive guide to gimping your mission income because you insist on missioning in a hub:
- Fit modules that gimp your PVE ship such as ECCM - Lose some dps by not using drones - Halt your income by leaving or shooting wrecks every time a salvager shows up - Add stress to your mission by checking the scanner for probes - Inefficiently attempt to salvage and loot while missioning. Marauders can do it, your ship probably can't.

Super easy way to deal with salvagers...
Send in main to get all aggro and let loose the drones, tab over to alt in salvage ship and warp on in, loot and salvage wrecks as they pop!
rinse, repeat.
works every time (provided you have proper tanking skills on your main)

I think Lvl4 missions need to be nerfed to be in scale with Lowsec/Nullsec.(Risk v. Reward circa FOREVER).
But ninja salvaging is not a crime.(One Man's Trash v. One Man's Treasure).
So I propose a crude compromise...
A person outside the owner's corp/alliance will be criminally flagged for theft if the owner is still on grid. Also, alliance members can tractor outside of Gang/Fleet. They are "trusted" players.
Implications and Effects: Missioners will now get to tractor and salvage with at least a chance of recourse when interrupted. Owner's ship must be visible on grid for this 'salvage aggression' to flag. 15mins standard flag, that means Corp can attack also, incase someone is harassing nublets. Allies can tractor and salvage, so they will be on hand to defend allied assets.
Entrepreneurial salvagers will be able to probe out many missioners and update scanners to see when they leave the bookmarked rooms. Will not be flagged if a Corp non-owner is on grid, this allows the salvager a chance at unguarded areas. Will only be flagged for the wreck salvage begun after the owner has arrived on the same grid.
All empty rooms are up for grabs.
The probing system will not be broken/renerfed/unbalanced due to whinge.
The other option is to nerf lvl4s in highsec so you all fight over Low/Nullsec missions more...Boost Lowsec dammit.

Not to mention the MRs who think a NPC BS firing off torps can even dent the shields of a salvage frigate going 1300 m/s.

I'll agree this is probably a very good method. I can't speak for other salvagers, but if I warp into a mission where there's more than one MR and it's clear they're salvaging as the rats pop (i.e., the only rats left are 2 or 3 BSs and there's no wrecks), I move to the next hit in the list, except on those extremely rare occasions where I'm wont to pester a particular MR for some reason.
