Well apparently they are, since you seem to keep on posting. I thought you were quitting? You must be really mad about something to keep posting on the forums of a game you seem to hate, run by a company you seem to despise and talking to people you seem to deem somehow less intelligent than you.

Daily activity charts don't really tell us much, what tells the tale is the number of subscriptions.
Those are the numbers I would like to see. Current amount of subscriptions means nothing compared to the active numbers, especially when players are just waiting for the subscription time to run out on the accounts.
(tick tick tick tick 3 weeks to go on 2 accounts. 2 dead already)
Just an FYI when looking at the Graphs: the EVE server graph on the Community page is actual number of players logged in. The graphs at Eve-Offline are the DAILY AVERAGE. Example: population yesterday peaked at just under 41,000, but the average daily was 32,100.
Right now, that Daily Average is as low as it was after Incarna ! And not even as high as during Dominion, for sakes. Obvious decline is obvious. Ohh poor silly goon chillrens. Historically, the PCUs and average player online numbers in EVE have gone up during summers, presumably because people have vacations and have more time to play (and because they don't have to get up in the morning to go to work, so they can stay up longer in the evening).
Interestingly, Americans (largest block of EVE players) take the shortest, fewest vaction times in the world. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/william-d-chalmers/americas-vacation-deficit-disorder_b_1534304.html
Besides, before retiring, I always considered short holidays, like Memorial day last weekend, as the time to get in even MORE game playing, and that obviously did not happen this particular weekend on EVE.
Just observing it all. Ohh poor silly goon chillrens. Nobody in high sec cares about your plans to occupy jita like a bunch of dirty hippies. "....as if 10,058 Goon voices cried out and were suddenly silenced." |

Last year the average age of an EVE player was 30. So definitely not a school kid. Try again.
EDIT: Statistics from 2010's CSM voting.
" The average age of voters was 30.8 years, slightly higher than the average age of EVE 's player-base."

Being a 33 year old man with no kids, I can tell you that I and many people I know of my age, prefer to take our holidays slightly before or slightly after, peak season. This way we can avoid the real "Summer Season" when everyone takes their screaming children away for a week of sunburn and tantrums. Octogenarian specifically refers to those over 80. http://www.merriam-webster.com/medical/octogenarian I'm just sayin'.
Not schoolkid, that's for sure. But now at 47, I fully understand why at 30, older folks called me 'young man' all the time. TBH, 30's are still 'squirelly'. Ohh poor silly goon chillrens. I'm not even sure why you're arguing about it, other than you'd like to believe that EVE is growing and flowering. It's not. EVE isn't dead, and it's not likely to die tomorrow. But in a game built around player-driven content, stagnation or decline in the population is a potentially serious problem. |

Clear enough? Now consider outside events having an impact on server stats, things like national holidays, new games being released, stuff like that. Year on year there is a drop around the same time of the year. Sometimes those drops coincide with CCP making hideous mistakes like the Incarna release, and sometimes they coincide with things like the release of Diablo 3 and the Beta for Guild Wars 2 and the Beta for DUST514.
I'd say that was pretty clear, wouldn't you? And as you can see, year on year numbers continue to grow.
