i have had my main account banned while it is incestigated some 15 days ago now.
i apreciate this is a difficult time for ccp and it will take time to resolve however, 7 days ago i recieveed a mail saying if you supply us with theese 10 details regarding your account to prove your the original owner we can unban it while they sort out the ships/isk that was stolen. fair play i thought....but now 7 days after sending the my detials not only am i still awaiting for the account to be unlocked, butt he external petition system is down meaning i cant even track my petition anymore!!
i am paying for an account i cant access and i am starting to get frustrated with this.
i dont care about you flamers and your 'you deserved it' posts, all i want is access to my account after already loosing 15 days training and over 28bil in assets and isk.
so come on ccp, at least give us some info on whats going on and what type of timeframe to expect.

until it's done. really doubt the forum can answer. but the GMs need to make the proper investigation so you'll just have to wait unfortunatly.

 Oh, you idiot. People still fall for that? Unless something drastic has changed, you'll never receive a mail like that; you'd get a response on the petition. The instant you can get into your account, change the password.

not idiot, was a reply to e-mail sent to customer services, and has direct link to petition on eve-o website.
however external petitions are currently not working so cant montor progress

Same here i had 3 accounts comprimised on the 15th and now 1 is still closed and other 2 were allowed to be reopened by the person who hacked them afew days later , all i want for the moment is them relocked but im not even getting that ... they need to speed this up , i think im gonna have to ring em before my characters get traded

You're saying CCP gave the account back to the one who hacked it? Since accounts are not tradeable CCP would give the account to the one and only owner (contact through his email adress, etc). Highly unlikely you would not get the account if you are the legetimate owner.
Other than that: Can you imagine how many accounts have been hacked and how much work is involved to reverse all transactions and sales on just one single account?
Your position is unfortunate, but it will take as long as it does.

Its highly possible as 1st thing the hacker did was log ono eve-o forum while i was at work and he changed my accounts email address which locks me out of my account completely.
So now i cant even cancel subs fr those 2 accounts tough the website only through my bank while some ******* plays my 2 accounts until ccp do something about it(track the ips's for instance and that would instantly show im the owner) i got th accounts originaly locked just beore my 3rd accounts email addy was changed hence it still being locked . i dunno i just feel horribly let down

CCP still knows what the original email was. I'm pretty sure the account is locked down and GMs are dealing with it. If you're the original owner it WILL be sortetd out.

My main account was erroneously banned and it has been under investigation for 15 days now. I appreciate the enormity of the task CCP faces and I understand that it will take some time to resolve this matter. However, seven days ago I received an e-mail from CCP asking me to supply them with a few additional details regarding my account to help prove that I'm the owner. They promised to unlock my account, provided I was the real owner, while they sorted out the details on the items stolen from my account. I thought that sounded fair, but now it is a week later and I am still waiting for my account to be unlocked. To make matters worse, I can no longer track my petition because the petition system is down!
I am paying for an account I am unable to access. I am starting to become frustrated. The least CCP could do is provide me with an update on what is going on.

Longest times reported so far in the forums are apparently around 5 weeks or so. Dunno details. Our corp has also lost our fair share of memember accounts to hackers. At least in our case those under investigation are still banned, altho owners of those accounts have become increasingly fustrated also. We are keeping keen eye on them to make sure no hacker can get away with the characters from those accounts.

You misunderstand 1st thing that was done to 2 of my 3 accounts was from the get go the email addy's in account management were changed so by default the reactivation emails were sent to the hackers email addy , and thats how he reactivated my 2 accounts which i am now paying for and have been for the last week or so while he moved them to a new corp and is doing god knows what with em like RMT etc , i just want them relocked . Thanks for wishing me luck however

i would like to make one thing clear, i wholeheartedly understand and sypmthasise with ccp gm's and the tremendous work load they must be under. i do not wish to belittle or degrade the work they are doing in not only tackling the huge amount of account hacks but also the fight against all rmt's.
all i would like is some clear communications and guidelines. being unable to play is a ****ter, and yes it sucks that my account is loosing skilling and gameplay time which i know i will not get back, but all i want is some communication.

haha just to put a smile on people's faces, i have just recieved a mail saying the petition regarding my account hack has been closed and can i please rate the response........would love to ccp f you could just unban the account using the details i supplied you 10 days ago now!

also slim chance a gm looks at this.....might wanna take a peek at out of game petitions as they been down for around 4 days now....you can log one, but not follow it up.
man i swear they cant even write **** this funny for tv theese days

Pal, you ain't seen nothin' yet. I got that same e-mail saying my petitions were closed and I could review them a week ago. I've still heard nothing back from the e-mail I responded to them with, saying they were ******ed and you can't touch a petition if your account is still banned - in not so many words.
To all who share our woes, good luck to you - and maybe one day we'll have our accounts back. I, however, am not holding my breath and will continue to train this alt while I wait.

Not sure which bothers me more atm; the number of posts on the forums linking people getting caught nekkid with satelites or the number of people moaning on the forums because it's taking a long time to sort out the petitions they've started because they were actually stupid enough to follow those links. 
Seriously. It's not taking so long because CCP's incompetent, it's taking so long because they're still recovering from getting whacked in the face with a freaking tidal wave of liquid stupid generated by the absurd number of people who so desperately want to see a wii sex toy that they'll ignore that irritating voice usually referred to as common sense and click whatever links these bots throw out there. |

Believe it or not, I've never bought isk aside from trading in GTC's. And I've used Firefox since it's inception.. so.. no fake ActiveX installed on this system from these forums. However, there's a possibility that I was pinched from a hole that I discovered in utorrent. So, bad on me, and I learned my lesson. Just annoying that it's taking this long to get resolved.

It will make it easier to track changes if rather than between two dates the just have to track transactions from xdate to current. I'm sure going as fast as they can with all the petition just trying to not go to fast to make the 'right' calls on transactions.
