Now dessie 5 finishes tommorow, and our corp guna start venturing into 0.0 sometimes to maybe gank a few ratters/small gangs. (maybe more depending on turnout) but i will be able to fly the Eris, Flycatcher or the Sabre (dont have ammar frig 5) Which one of those is "best" for small to medium size gang ops and what kind of fitting should i be looking it? Also any tips on how to fly them would be super. I dont have much 0.0 experience so i havent rly seen em flown much. I'm assuming u drop a bubble and nano around abit and hope the stuff in the bubble dies before you do? correct? Thanks for any help :P
Donna Maria Amarr	Posted - 2009.08.28 02:06:00 - [2] Umm.. Eris can double bubble without too much of a problem. Flycatcher, Rockets are broke. Sabre - Best of the Dictors. Best advice. Drop your bubble when the gate fires. Get out of the bubble. If its frig or destroyer class, close ,web and point. Dont die. Dictors are usually primaried. Im the girl momma warned you about..

Cloak is real handy if you're not in a sabre. Anything else but cloak and bubbles in the highs are extras. mwd is required.

If you need the extra DPS for your gang, fly a single bubble MSE Sabre. Cloaking dual bubble Sabres are a waste of Isk. I actually prefer a dual bubble, cloaky, dual MSE Heretic for that sort of duty but as you can't fly one, use the Eris or even Flycatcher. Oh, and since you'll have a bunch of high slots you really won't have the CPU or Grid to actually use, toss an offline remote armor repper or some such on there so if you actually live you can rep gang mates between fights, and if you do lose it, at least you might drop something nice. ;) I usually toss an offlined repper, salvager and occasionally a cyno on mine, never know when you might need something out of the toolbox.

Its by far easiest to fly and THE best dictor out there. If you go mwd/mse/web/scram its typical general use but it CAN be killed by good ranis pilot or by flycatcher/heretic pilots who actually know their job (and have min-maxed fits too). Actually catcher has a bit easier way killing sabre than heretic (2x mse setup is purty good). Eris? Just no. Its only use is 2x suicide bubbling fleets. Other than that its junk. So just get sabre. Flying tips? Evade cruisers - especially laser boats. Look out for missile spammers (drakes/cerbs/NHs) - they can kill you in 2-3 salvos. Best way to deal with them is bubble, get one shot to get on mail and ruuuun :) Due to nano nerf dictors became vulnerable to most ships in this game so your best bet is just killing frigs and maybe some larger ships that cant hurt you (webbed deimos etc). Still - look out, they are fragile. Like said above: you drop bubble only when its needed. If you can keep tackle with point alone, dont bubble. Only drop when enemy is on structure to get pod. Also bubbles drag in people from warp. This is absolutely da bomb and easiest way for catching ceptors.
