So at the moment we have 4 T1 Logistic Cruisers and 4 T2 Logistics Cruisers. Most people will know that the Osprey is commonly used to rep pos's and the rest T1 versions are pretty much ignored for the Logistics purpose they have and are more used for mining. As for the T2 Logistics Cruisers, I do not propose that they are changed in anyway as they all fit a specified role.
In terms of Modules we have the shield, armour, tracking links and energy transfer modules. For reasons that I don't understand we have faction versions of them up to medium size but not above. So my first suggestion is creating large faction versions of the shield, armour and energy transfer modules.
Back to ships, what I am suggesting is creating T2 Logistics Frigates based on the Bantam, Tormentor, Burst and Navitas. As at the moment none of these ships have a T2 version, which I personally think is a shame.
The bonuses should be in line with the Cruiser versions, so with normal skills a Basilisk can transfer shield to 70k+ and energy to 80k+, so the frigates should I think be able to transfer around half that, so between say 25-40k (I would push for a max of 30k to be honest to make sure its not too much).
Now as for how many they can fit and what size, I have 2 ideas (we are basing this on a Bantam so a small Basilisk). - The first idea is that they can only really fit small energy and shield transporters but can fit 4 shield and 2 energy. This would mean that they can rep more targets but less effectivily, or one target effectivily. Though this would mean the output of all 4 would be equal to 1 large, not sure whether this is too underpowered or not - The second idea is that they can fit medium sized transporters but only fit maybe 2 at most 3. Which would mean the rep amount is the same as fitting 4 small shield transporters or equal to 6 but it comes in more of a lump. With the medium size they would be only able to fit one energy transfer, so the capacitor would have to be altered to allow for this.
Now of course the CPU and PG would have to be altered to allow for either one of these to work and it would have to be worked out to make sure that it couldn't be exploited to fit something it shouldn't. For effectiveness then having 3 mediums would be better
As for fittings; the Bantam has a 2/2/2 slot layout, this would have to change a bit, probably to something like 2/4/6 or 2/4/4. What I forsee the problem being is making them solid enough so they wouldn't pop under the first hint of incoming fire. As these things would be used to compliment a AF gang, so making use of the small sig radius and AB's, but also giving them a small HP buff to stop them from insta-poping.
I know this isn't a very well fleshed out idea but I thought I'd throw it out there for consideration. I would love to see something like this put into the game over a Logisitcs BS or something as this would be more interesting than that.
