Hi people!
Well i will get straight to the point, when you see the cost of the orca (industrial command ship) and the time it takes to train the skills and the skill books cost, it doesnt seem fair to me that you can ONLY benefit from it in a fleet. I think the orca should be just a little more independent (Meaning being able to mine propperly alone)
I have seen people with good ships that only fits in fleets, but some of em dont play much / or they dont play at the time where the corp ops are held...
My idea was to somehow make the Orca more independant or maybe able to fit something like a mining laser or strip miner.... I dont know if this idea has been brought up before as this is my first topic.
Please be kind Rubex

Nope, the Orca is a command ship, it is meant to have a fleet to make use of its boosts. I believe that CCP has said that the Hulk is the largest mining barge that they want to produce. ------------------------ Jint Hikaru - Miner / Salvager / Explorer "I've got a couple of Strippers on my ship... and they just love to dance!" ------------------------ |

To add, as it is used for mining ops, has a corporate hangar, and provides boosts, it is clear that it is not for the average solo player to cruiser around in. It is a corporate asset. Any half-decent self respecting carebear corporation should have at least one honestly . And due to its versatility, even non-carebear corps can make use of it...

the reason why the orca cannot use mining lasers is macro mining bots would be using them and high sec would never have roids left for any players

Highly recommend you never train for a titan, or for that matter, any capital ship.
