I hope your RL friends (yes, lets imagine you have any) will trade your friendship with them for RL money.
I won't reproach them.

I find it hilarious that C&P regulars are condemning this player for something he did in a video game.
THIS IS GAME. You people get way too worked up. Friendships in this game are part of the experience. If this game is, as you hypocrites like to say, just a game, then taking any action against a friend within that game, including betrayal, should not offend that so-called friend to the point of ending the friendship. If you say it does, then I suppose this game is more SRS BIDNESS than most of you have cared to admit.
Carebears. Your tears are delicious.
To the OP: I find your story amusing, assuming it's not a troll. If it is a troll, I find it even more amusing. ---- Suddenly Ninjas Blog: My Loot, Your Tears

Actually.. No were not.. Taking 10B from some noob that has way to much isk and no idea what to do with it is funny as hell.. I'm pretty sure though that the person getting the isk stolen is going to rage about it.
What we are *****ing about is that the OP essentially abused an out of game friendship to win in game and cant see, or doesn't care, that there might be some out of game consequences for it. I personally value out of game relationships WAY higher than anything in game, which is why I wouldn't do it. Your right.. THIS IS GAME.. Don't let it ruin your (real) life.

I doubt he had one worth keeping anyway, considering what he did.

Where did he imply that this guy was anything more than an Eve buddy? Why on earth would there be any out-of-game consequences for him?
There are lots of people that I'm friendly with in-game that I would sell out in a heartbeat for the right amount of ISK. Anyone who leaves that kind of cash lying around in this game and allows their "friends" to swipe it either has no sense of their own value to the people they trust, or just no sense at all.
And by the way, I love all the folks saying that the guy likely has no RL friends. You sound like the carebears who say that I must stomp on boxes full of puppies in RL. I guess everyone has a line in this game beyond which they become whiny *****es.

I made the assumption that "cuz ve known him for a while and hes a good frind of mine" referred to him being an out of game friend.. If hes not then well done! I'd like the OP to tell us which was the case..
Originally by: Paul Clavet Why on earth would there be any out-of-game consequences for him?
If hes an in game 'buddy' only then there wont be.. If hes an out of game buddy (which is how I read the OP) and you cant see why there would be out of game consequences (mostly in relation to trust) then you have some issues that you need to work through.

OP stated it was a good friend of his, and they've known each other for a while. If it was just someone he met in game a while back, then the OP is misusing the term "friend". *-*^-^*-*^-^*-*^-^*-*^-^*-*^-^*-*^-^*-*^-^*-*^-^*-*^-^*-*^-^ By the way, I am an Ishtar and T2 sentries fan. On the off chance that the OP's native tongue is not English (which seems possible, given the original post's formatting and wording), I offer these Google-generated translations:
Chinese: 公司盗窃=胜利 盗窃别人你打电话给当地朋友=失败
French: Vol Corporate = win Le vol de quelqu'un que vous appelez un ami = fail
German: Corporate Diebstahl = win Diebstahl von jemandem, rufen Sie einen Freund = fail
Hebrew: גניבה = חברות לנצח גניבת ממישהו שאתה קורא חבר = להיכשל
Icelandic: Corporate ¦j=fna=ur = vinna ¦j=fna=ur frß einhverjum sem ¦· hringja f vini = mistakast

OP - i salute your fine work
edit; forgot to mention that if i stole fake internetzzzz moneys from a RL friend we would laugh our ****ing asses off about it - not 'suffer serious consequences', now if a couple of em found out a fingered their gf's at late night after parties my face may be rearranged - such are friendship boundaries

If it was right there in front of me and was very easy then yes.. In a flash, and I'd try and frasp's it and/or record any ensuing conversations for the general amusement of C&P
If it was a laborious drawn out scam that involved me introducing him to crack *******, slowly ensuring his full blown addiction to it and then systematically stripping him of all his virtual assets in order to feed his very real heavy drug addiction then probably not.

Again, we have no indication that the victim was anything more than some dude who has flown with the OP in the past and considered him a space-buddy.
The equation changes for me when someone takes it seriously enough to be very angry and also knows where I live. It's not that I don't WANT to shoot them when they break into my house to kill me, but the paperwork that follows is a pain.
Would I steal imaginary assets from someone who I see every day and I know would take it hard? Probably not.
Would I steal from some guy I used to work with but has since moved away and only sees me on Eve? I dunno... how much are we talking about here?
But all of you people are assuming that he sold out his roommate to buy three years of PLEX. We have no indication from him that this is the case, and you are reading into him the worst and then assuming that he is a sociopath in RL.
Look within yourself. I think you'll find deeper-seated insecurities about how you think your friends will treat you.
