Edited by: Andromecin on 30/08/2009 18:21:08 I may be totally off my rocker but i had a thought, feel free to criticize it all you want, but please usefull feedback only, cut down spammers are so useless.
I was thinking of a skill use accelerator. IE: if i'm training a specific class of weapons turret say medium hybrid 3 > 4 would it be difficult to add a small or moderate multiplier to training time, that applies while i'm in a mission firing that particular weapon? or even training from ice harvester 2 > 3 applying said same multiplier while the gear is in use? i mean the more you use something the better you are with it, it seems like a logical suggstion. it would encourage the use of the skills while their being trained, and could also cut down a bit on some of the Astronomical training times at the higher levels without severely altering the already established game training mechanics. Any ways just a thought, hope to get some decent feedback on the idea good an bad

TBH, im not sure what the issue is with waiting for skills to train just like they have for the last 6 years, and even less sure why these threads pop up every day, to meet the same response.
I am happy with the game the way it is. Its nice to know, if i cant come online for a week due to RL commitments, that i wont have "fallen behind", at least SP wise. Skillpoints are only a small part of the "skill" involved in playing eve, at least combat-wise. The amount of time you spend learning a system or ship does increase your skill with it, even if it dosent increase your SP in that in game skill.

Thank you for an honest critical feedback. I personally don't have an issue with the training time, as i stated it was merely suggestion. thought it would be an interesting addition as i've never seen a system, like that established, thats all

I agree with Ava. one problem with other games is that you can always get more powerful just by putting more and more time into the game. Though you can do this in EVE (such as spending more time doing missions and plexes for better ships, mods, etc.), it can only be done as far as your character will allow it. |
