Well I got bored of doing agent missions in my apoc so ive tryed other ships..
ve managed to kill a 110k rat in a krestel and almost in a rifter (repaired to fast)
So I buy a maller -7.8 mill insure it -3.2 mill, buy some modules for it (well most came from my uber hanger -500k
So im off to kill a lvl 3 mission after sturggiling to fit even 4 of my lasers onto it..
anyway skip 2 hours later and I notice this thing if a peice of crap
Note that I think the maller is a excelent crusier, just a peice of crap to try and outfit full of cool modules and lvl 3 missions...
Soooo.. now Im bout 12 mill poorer then before. I have a crappy maller insured 100%
Shoud I blow it up and tkae the 8 mill to save up for a battle crusier?
just realy ****ed at myself for buying a 8 million isk crusier just for fun...

Or, rather than shoving the biggest lasers you can find on it, try and tank it instead.. Fitting 6x medium pulse lasers and then focusing on cap & tanking will let you deal with most lv3 kill missions easily.

Edited by: StinkFinger on 19/10/2004 03:17:27 5 quad beam lasers
1 bs sized after burner 1 medium cap battery
1 medium armor rep 2 hardeners 1 heat sink or 1 tracking comp
rest cap rechargers/relays
Try that. --

What are your skills like? I had no trouble fitting 5 beams plus a bunch of goodies on it with Eng and Elec IV. Mind you it's been awhile since I flew mine, but it worked well back when I did. Though I much prefer a 'rax or Stabber to it.

The maller rocks out for lvl3 missions, almost never have to warp out with even the toughest spawns.

My Moa mopped up everything but Mordu with ease. Mordu, however, took some clever maneuvering (i.e. warping in and out when those goddamn katanas came in too close and started ripping my shield tank a new one).
Cruisers work fine for lvl 3 missions, as do interceptors and battleships. It's always just a matter of knowing how to use it

O i have engineering and electronics lvl 5, but if you want to fit the max of 5 beams on it you need atleast 1250 power grid alone, and that takes a few rcus
I hate this maller....

Use a Caracal!
5 Malkuth Heavy Launchers with Scourge 1 Large Shield Extender II, 1 Medium Shield Booster II, 2x Tac Shields 1 Ballistic Dmg Mod, 1 CPU II
Works a treat at 40km warp-in to initially gank the Katana's.
LEEEEERRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY! |

Having used almost all the cruisers of three races for Level 3 missions, I have to say that the Maller is the best in my opinion (yes, even better than the beloved 'Rax). There is nothing wrong with the ship. You just need to think outside the box when setting it up.

Hi. I did all level 3 missions in a Maller without problems but I have now turned to the Crusader as this is way more fun to fly and it has to be the coolest looking ship in the game! Crappy cargohold though but still good...
