Edited by: Juan Andalusian on 27/10/2004 13:02:32 Lifewire sometimes admitting defeat (ingame and in forums) helps a lot.
0.0 has no laws to determine what action is right or wrong, you call what alliances do piracy , they call it defending. Everyone is entitled to view it however he likes, that changes very little.
Even from a RP way of looking at it, you still lose.

1.) i never STFU - because i am stubborn (i already said this)
2.) You dont need to roleplay. YouŠll just get sec. hits for random attacks and others (pirate hunters) will roleplay with you (or kick your ass). You fear them? Or what is the reason that you fear sec. hits soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much? Is the reason that you cannot enter empire??? I think you CA guys are a nation - why do you need empire??? I never go to empire - i dont even need to buy tech II stuff there - folks bring it to Syndicate, we loot it and repackage it....slightly used but still ok .

Defeat ingame??? You mean this "defeat" here?
www.tundragon.com
We are still here, where is Norad, where is Arcadia? Our kill-list is only 4 months old...if it would be older you would find Arcadia and Norad more than 2000 x. Podded over and over again, wasted, broken - DEFEATED!
Sorry, but we are not defeated ingame and not defeated in this topic.

lol, for the same reason you just posted DM .. it is like looking at car wrecks, you don't want to, and you know it is wrong, but you just can't help yourself.
...
Or just something to do during downtime. :)
This is true, I guess.
I just come in here to see what flavour the whine is every now and then. .

Ah so you attribute NORAD decline and Arcadia split up to TDG? I respect you as one of the last true pirates left in game but sometime you are really ridiculous.
Defeat on an individual basis, i didn't mean annihilation. You guys have a nice gang but when you post "all were affordable losses" when describing the loss of 4 inties to 1 bs in your forums you look like someone who can't accept defeat.
Of course 4 inties are affordable losses... what isn't an affordable loss in eve?!?!?! PvP in eve is not about causing economical ruin, it's about winning one battle at a time, sucess is measured individually after ever encounter. Downplaying losses is pathetic.
That's what i meant when i said accepting defeat ingame, on an individual fight basis.
As for this discussion you have still to answer my last post about not even RP covering you argument.

Arcadia simply ran to empire when we striked them and destroyed most of their BS.
Norad was harder - we could not destroy norad with roundabout 5-8 ships online at evening. But the heavy losses Norad suffered, pushed Norad back to stoneage compared to other alliances. All CA had to do was to come with a blob, camp PF for 1 week and finish the weakened rest. Syndicate politics are completly changed and the local pirates are one of the reasons why. The civil war in Norad is another reason - now Norad really lost the ability to blob. But true: we cannot finally kill the players - they will regroup and settle again in new political formations, maybe the age of the Steelvipers begins now in Syndicate. Anyway - Norad is history and we destroyed more Norads than all wars with other alliances.
But back to topic: I want to pirate in EVE. Where? In 0.0 itŠs no crime, in empire CCP dont want us to pirate and itŠs no challange too. Second important question: why do alliances fear sec. hits? Because they pirate? Do alliances kill randomly any intruder? If yes: you guys should get sec. hits.

So, what you're saying, Lifewire, is that you DEMAND a change to suit your requirements to the detriment of the majority?
Hmmm...what's the one word we normally use to describe that...............

Piracy belongs in 0.1 - 0.4. CCP made that too hard, perhaps it's a better idea to argue for undoing those restrictions. I'm sure plenty of people who argue against 0.0 sec hits would be in favour of that plan .

Edited by: Lifewire on 27/10/2004 14:49:00 Edited by: Lifewire on 27/10/2004 14:48:13 No, piracy doesnt belong to 0.1-0.4 - pirates will be where the Zydrine is. Pirates want to fight to big cool alliances. Why should pirates attack n00b miners in 0.4??? They have some miner IIs and a CPU - not the kind of loot i prefer!
Quote: So, what you're saying, Lifewire, is that you DEMAND a change to suit your requirements to the detriment of the majority?
Alliances are not the majority in EVE - the majority are n00bs in empire that cannot enter 0.0 because every chokepoint to 0.0 is camped by a alliance-wannabe-pirates-gank-blob. What EVE needs are smaller skirmishes, less blobbing and true roleplaying. A helpless n00b corp will never come to 0.0 as long the alliances can kill randomly lie the real pirates. In fact 0.0 is full of pirates. With sec. hits these people have to make their decission: being pirates, alliance navy, pirate hunter or simply miner that doesnt care about politics.
DonŠt make piracy easier...as member of one of the last pirate corps i am pretty sure all real pirates dont want it easier. Just make piracy possible: give sec. hits in 0.0.
