Edited by: Leather Jack on 08/09/2009 06:34:42 Rejoice fellow podpilots (and CCP staff). This might not be news to everyone, but still a fun fact. Last night when logging in to the server at 19:00 EVE time, there were more than 50,000 players online!
For being a monday evening in the EU timezone, it was quite nice to see so much going on in our little sandbox galaxy.
I remeber the weekend we first hit the amazing 20k mark during primetime, it was stunning and something we all had been waiting for to happen. From this perspective, I find the 50k mark on a monday evening pretty nice indeed.
cheers.

It's the constant forum nerfs an timers. People have become so desperate, that they are forced to log on and play the game.

It was also Labour Day in Canada, not that I'd expect 'merkins to notice such things.

Hm - wait,
high play numbers. Next big expansion coming up. Forums busy.
In accordance with my analysis of the Prophecies of EVE as given unto us by several prophets on these very forums this can only mean one thing:
EVE is dying.

You're joking - right?
There's always many 0.0 systems that are empty - large areas are low-pop and CCP just added several thousand systems. Meanwhile Jita doesn't lag with < 1000 pilots.
If you want more systems because you dream of free unclaimed 0.0 where you can go and loot *safely* - forget it. Nearby alliances will claim new space right away - doesn't matter if they really have use for it or not. And the chokepoints will still be camped.
The closest you get to that is in WH space. --- Save the forum: Think before you post. ISK BUYER = LOSER EVE TV- Bring it back! Laptop, NVidia7900GS, Ubuntu 8.04, WINE |

nah i am not joking, and btw, get some therapy for your aggro :)
when i started playing eve, the universe was MUCH emptier and it felt more realistic and much more atmospheric.
the amount of expansion (addition of drone regions, some systems for fw and wh systems) does not compensate the amount of new players that were introduced into the game since that time.

Perhaps this is the secret to get people to play the game. Stop having fun forums.
