If someone RL threatens you in the game what category in petitions does that go under? Just for future reference I couldn't seem to find it. |

I'm not sure but I am curious how you think they can do it. Unless you have a habit of throwing personally identifiable information out in local or over vent. You know what an answer is? Heh, tried using the Support web site to find that information and kept getting 404 errors. Anyway, isn't there an option for harassment? Try filing under "Rules and Policies", seems the best fit. |

I'm pretty sure that if you know them IRL; the police would be a better idea than to file a petition. That is, if you feel the threat was sincere enough and not just hot air, like it is 99.99% of the time. Gallente is what America believes itself to be.

If that's the case CCP is not the authority I would be looking to to solve this matter. You know what an answer is? It's a terminus -- an end. Answers are fine, but questions are where it's at. Aww, its fake. But I have a new favorite word: Choke-a-Cola.
However, I do know that a disgruntled counter strike player hunted down and stabbed a fellow player to death. What I don't know is how he got the victims information....is he a super geeky hacker that can pull out a gadget that tracks your IP and gives you gps coordinates to your house, or did the guy taunt the other over teamspeak yelling, oh yeah, why don't you bring your punk a** over to my house and say it to my face? i aint scared , I live *******, b****" etc etc. You know what an answer is? I don't think it's serious but if someone rages with RL threats that could get them banned for a couple of days can't it? |

Either partial or permanent like Ginger Magician.
Severe offences may result in an immediate ban without warning; however, warnings may be given for first time offenses, followed by account suspensions of varying degree and ultimately a permanent ban if a player:
a. Is abusive, obscene, offensive, sexually explicit, ethnically or racially offensive, or threatening to another player or an official EVE Online representative. Do you smell what the Lock's cooking? |

If not permanently there was a recent thread about this whole thing.
CCP draws the line at RL threats. Don't do it, even jokingly, it will get you into trouble.

If you got it in written form (ingame) it gets the opponent a 3 day ban. Be careful tho, if you wrote something remotely impolite yourself, you may get a ban too. When someone burns down your sandcastle, bring sausages. |

Just saying.. weird stuff happens.

"Lucas had four semi-automatic hand guns - two of which were loaded - along with four loaded, large-capacity magazines, two stun guns, three pepper spray containers, two assault knives, two expandable police batons and seven sets of handcuffs"
i found it even more weird, that, guy must've forgot to empty his cargo hold or killed rats on his way up there.. why so many.. one of each would be plenty you would think. |

And Activision wondered why the WoW community lost their effing minds when they announced real ID. You know what an answer is? It's a terminus -- an end. I can agree on this sometimes but actually it's for the better in future, the more there will be acts of this kind the faster your internet will be safer and enjoyable

I would not take any in-game RL threats to heart as the only people who dish these out in-game are keyboard warriors who in RL are cowards and hide behind a monitor to try and feel some sort of tough guy that they cannot be in RL. Truth be told they would shite themselves if someone showed them a cold bowl of soup and said BOO!!! |

Best part of the article, "We need to first apologize about what we said about Mark Bradford, because Mark Bradford is mother-******* Batman."
I'm genuinely curious OP, what happen that lead to somene threatening you, and what did he say exactly?
OMFG, funny, "We hope shithead kids tell stories in hushed whispers about Mark Bradford. "No, no, he came for my friend Danny! He teabagged him like 40 times and like 30 minutes later, an eight-foot-tall guy in a trench coat shows up and made him eat 40 literal tea bags ... at gunpoint. It's true!" |
