Granted you can right click on the billboard and get that info but just the same it would be nice bit a eye candy.
I would welcome this change as well. But only if it's in-game advertisement that fits into the EVE universe.
Maybe CCP could extend the billboards so they display the alliance recruitment ads or something.
But the day I see real life ads in EVE is the day I buy WoW (or alternatively claw my own eyes out).

Lol, if you think a world like eve would actually exist without advertisement....
really, if your so into immersing yourself in a game...this is actually more probable than no advertisement at all. Games a little more realistic now.
Personally i think its a great idea.
Oh noes...my internet Spaceship game is ruined!

Umm, I don't think anyone is questioning advertisements in a "world like eve" so much as I am of the same mindset that I don't want Coke ads replacing the Quafe ads.

Well, Minmatar ships do look like Ikea might have built them. I think I see cheap planks in some of their designs.
And at the rate Ikea expands, in 25.000 years its CEO will probably the Caldari ruler and have almost half as much Isk as Chribba makes in a slow Tuesday.
