For anyone with artifacting graphics problem with the new 190.xx series drivers for the Nvidia cards, the best solution is to go back down to 186.xx series at this time if you want to play Eve.
I have two almost identical 8800GTS 640mb cards and the slightly older one had messed up portraits, check boxes, etc. and switching back down to the 186.18 drivers completely fixed it. For some reason the drivers didn't seem to effect my other games, just Eve.
Just want to put this out there for the people that can't find the solution to this. |

Hmm, I haven't had any problems with the 190.xx drivers, but then again I have an GTX260. The only graphic glitches I'v seen are the huge white blobs due to me having AA enabled (which weren't there with the 186.xx series, granted).
Wierd stuffs. What OS were you running? _

I am still running XP (Too lazy to install Windows 7 and redo everything =p). Could be 'weird stuff,' like as I said my one video card runs fine on the two monitors it's attached to, but the 2nd video card on the 3rd monitor had artifacts like crazy until I dropped the drivers back down. They are both 8800GTS 640mbs though, but one is KO edition and other is just a plan old one heh. Meh, works now though =) |

Edited by: Optimus Weezleterd on 11/09/2009 23:58:22 I ran into the same issue today.
I am running Dual Nvidia 7900GTX cards on XP Pro.
I crashed earlier today with a graphic error so I went out and grabbed the latest drivers thinking that would help. The graphics were all messed up after that. I thought I reverted back to my old drivers but that didn't help. I came here found this post and decided to try again.
I removed the drivers completely then reinstalled the old ones and now at least I can see stuff in game.

Ive also had this problem. Just set my new rig up and downloaded eve and found the the buttons and loading bar where messed up, the avatars and ship textures where nice colours, and even the login screen was borked. I was using the 190.62 drivers. Thanks to this post i have now installed 186.xx and it works perfect.
This was on a i7 3.33Ghz EE, GTX295 running Win Xp 64bit OS
Thank you for the solution!
