There's accepting it and moving on, but there's no 'getting over' what happened on that day.
I'll never be able to 'get over' losing a dear family member on that day, but I can accept it.
This is about the weakest post ever
It's funny how you had to post that with a stupid alt, grow some nuts and post with your main if you want to make fun of somthing like that, you ****ing *****. -------------------------------------------------

Most Americans have already forgotten it, they'll remember after the next attack that is definitely coming. And now I need to take a 5 minute nap before I have the energy to post again. |

Would you stand on a street corner in New York wearing a cardboard sign saying "Happy 9/11"?
If not, you shouldn't do it in here either.

But this is the internet. Move on and stop the weepiness. Why have I never seen a thread about all **** that happens in other countries? Or even the SF earthquake? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |

The funniest part is that all THREE towers collapsed due to professional demolition. And whoever was behind it got away home free.

I always believed that the biggest problem with the Twin towers incident was that It was only 2.
The gain didnt justify the years of bushwars amd expenditures around the world. So ye, either do it good enough, or dont do it at all Some people should learn from EVE's alliance war history.

I won't say a thing until someone says "Where were YOU on 9/11/01?", at which point I will pound that person mercilessly into the ground.
Seriously, its a HORRIFIC event but the overwhelming majority of people have gotten over it by now. Despite the pure horror, learn to move on, and once you do the rest of the country does as well. And then someone builds something in the Twin Towers' site, and of course it becomes a new major national icon.

Actually, I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when I heard the news about 9/11...
... I was sitting in a chair watching the news on telly funnily enough.

I was holding my newborn son, who was only a couple of hours old, agog at the TV and wondering what sort of world he'd been brought into. Then he unloaded nine months of waste product on my shirt and instinct took over. New born baby poop is not pleasant. I'll never forget that day.

A short while after that day, the plane tickets were pretty cheap, so we flew to Miami to spend 1 month partying. Would not have been possible then with normal ticket prices. So "one man's suffering is another man's glory" fits here.

I know its wrng to say that something good came out of the whole thing, but i remember they were selling tickets to las veges for like 1 doller or something to get the business going again. I couldnt go but my brother and some friends went and partied it up.

It boggles my mind how some Americans, arguably sane or otherwise, can sit there and justify that "American blood" is priceless and whoever spills it, shall suffer thousandfold to the point that anyone remotely looking like your typical Hollywood and\or FOX-stereotypes of a terrorist are justifiable targets.

Apparently the current administration is trying to get it renamed from the Freedom Towers to the 'One World Trade Center' from what I heard.

I was in school in a cell biology class when one of the neighboring classroom teachers came running in and told us to turn on the TV... all in time to see the second tower fall. Class was pretty much canceled after that.
