I always believed that the biggest problem with the Twin towers incident was that It was only 2.
The gain didnt justify the years of bushwars amd expenditures around the world.
So ye, either do it good enough, or dont do it at all

Seriously, its a HORRIFIC event but the overwhelming majority of people have gotten over it by now. Despite the pure horror, learn to move on, and once you do the rest of the country does as well. And then someone builds something in the Twin Towers' site, and of course it becomes a new major national icon.

I was holding my newborn son, who was only a couple of hours old, agog at the TV and wondering what sort of world he'd been brought into. Then he unloaded nine months of waste product on my shirt and instinct took over. New born baby poop is not pleasant. I'll never forget that day.

A short while after that day, the plane tickets were pretty cheap, so we flew to Miami to spend 1 month partying. Would not have been possible then with normal ticket prices. So "one man's suffering is another man's glory" fits here.

I know its wrng to say that something good came out of the whole thing, but i remember they were selling tickets to las veges for like 1 doller or something to get the business going again. I couldnt go but my brother and some friends went and partied it up.

while I can see why somemay find the OP both funny and maybe offensive, the very fact that some people cannot make jokes out of it even now is sad...
However, it will always be the case that anyone who has lost a loved one or someone they knew will never come to joke about it
My view? well Sept 11th is just another day, like any other, to me, both sides are as bad as each other, America maybe being the worse, how many innocent civilians lost their lives or had their lives ruin due to torture etc etc in the following 'war on terror'

how about the spanish players? i saw one (1) post and he only pointed out that he lost a friend in 3/11 (the madrid bombings that if i recall correctly killed more than 9/11) and he didn't seem all that upset anymore...

HE was the first one to start praying for the people in the towers... actually i only prayed for a classmate who happened to be their on summer break, strangers i have no connection with are hard for me to care about.

Looking at the buildings burning now 8 years later, its completely obvious it is thermite burning. Nothing else burns like that and produces the necessary heat to melt steel at the same time. Definitively not jet fuel. Find a video of thermite on youtube. Look at 9/11 video. Light bulb moment.
There was explosives in the buildings, folks. Like we said 8 years ago. They found molten steel. The buildings collapsed at free-fall speed. There was no resistance left in the structure.

yes they found nanothermite alright and its science proof. the study took several years in the making.
it is the most advanced stuff out there we have atm. very densly packed. the scientists put it into an electron microscope and one could see (btw all on google/youtube) the very atoms itselfs are
intermixed with one another. so basicly smaller it dont go anymore. they said molecules
can be mixed and that is known knowledge, but how to mix atoms itself is completly
unknown of. so some mil science labs one would have to knock there.
there are only very few experts for this in the world.
edit: also it was not all nanothermite that happened there but now i think that would be to much science geek goin into that what they all found out besides the already known gross facts which there are so so so so many it makes the official story well yeah dont think it needs words anymore. more words now would be trivial as the story itself.

No, you don't recall correctly. The 3/11 Madrid bombing deaths might have reached 6.5% of the 9/11 attacks.

ok if anyone saw the video in the link i provided 1 tower was hit on 90% maybe 80 % of its height and the other a lot lower.
so tell me why the damage of tower 1 was the same as tower 2
at least 1 tower should be standing at 40 % if not 50 % after their collapse
and building number 7 in this video it had minor damage but had the same outcome
why?

What I WOULD be, would be stark raving mad that my own government had used that as an excuse to invade a totally innocent country (Iraq), cause 100's of thousands of deaths in that country, make millions of the country's inhabitants into refugees, and all just so the friends of the president and vice president could earn a lot of money!
The date should of.c. be remembered as a day of shame, and a day where honest Americans were reminded of the atrocities committed in their name, and vowing NEVER to let something like that happen again!
While 9/11 was a colossal tragedy for the involved and their families, what was done in their name was 100+ times worse!
Each family member of the innocent Iraqi's killed after 9/11 grieves just as much as the family members of the innocent Americans killed on 9/11.... But there are 100x as many of them....
See things in the full perspective, and don't just focus on one side of the story!

Incidentally, I do respect and admire your decision to work in such a dangerous field of employment. I know a few UK fire fighters and they're generally stand-up blokes... if a little highly strung, but then I suppose I can guess at the reasons for that. I'm not sure I could cope with the more horrible aspects of the job myself; apparently it's not all sitting around watching dog **** and eating pasta bake.

Man you gotta love all these tin-foil hatted conspiracy theorists with their crazy claims. I heard what must be the best one of all just after the events, a proper screwball job.
Apparently, and get this - you're gonna love it - apparently some crazy goat-herder living in a cave in a third-world, Asian country run by religious extremists was able to organise a bunch of guys to hijack a handful of planes armed only with box-cutters and fly these incredibly complex aircraft with next to no training through the most heavily defended air space in the world and crash them into three buildings at exactly the same time that the military of that country were staging an exercise on how to respond to terrorists flying planes into their buildings.
Gotta love these oddball ideas. |

You have to understand its a big deal to Americans. This was the first time they got attacked on their own soil with so many civilian casualties.
