Two small pirate corporations (apparently working together) have declared war on us, seemingly with no reason at all but to pick some easy kills. We are mainly a small mining and production corporation, so we have no means to fight back. They've set unrealisically high ransoms that we've no chance of paying, and they don't seem willing to negotiate. Also, we can't afford to hire mercs to deal with them. They hunt down all our players and destroy our mining ops and there's nothing we can do. They even camp outside stations for hours just holding us hostage. It completely destroys morale and the will to play, which has lead to many members leaving our corporation. If anybody has a solution to this, please let us know. Also we would welcome anyone who would like to hunt them down and give them a taste of their own medicine. They are really destroying the game for us. Please help. If you are miners and producers you should be sitting on enough ISK for that and if not sell a few plexes. Otherwise you are on your own I'm afraid. You might wanna join an alliance sometime after your happy happy fun war. Wardec costs are more expensive for them then and you have more guns. It will probably only stop if they think it costs them too much ISK to dec you or when their merc inflicted losses are to steep.

On the other hand, we are learning a lot about PvP in a rather short amount of time, a service that some corps pay for, so its not all bad. A lot of us are mission runners, so I guess we're rather more geared for combat than a pure mining corp. Check your enemy corp members faction standings, if they're KOS in another faction space, you might consider relocation. Are they online 24/7? Is there a time you could plan to do mining ops when they aren't on, to at least build up some ISK for possible merc hire? PvP is an integral part of EVE, so even if you don't do it, you need to be prepared for it. I wouldn't expect too much in the way of anyone hunting them down because they feel sorry for you though. So far I've found two things in EVE that are free - advice (good and bad), and smacktalk. Oh and Ibis. I've quite a collection now.. LOL.

El'Niaga Minmatar Republic Military School	Posted - 2009.09.12 10:39:00 - [22] Never pay ransoms, just makes you an easy mark for future attacks. Most likely yes they are allied/friends. There are a couple things you could do. First write down the name of everyone in the corp that is on any killboard. These are your decoys. Place them parked in stations or cloaked if possible in systems. Sadly this is skill training time for them. Have one or two say hello to the wts in local, but try not to smack to much. Everyone not on the list needs to move about 20-25 jumps from your present location and work on ops there. However be careful. Make sure they stay aligned to stations. If you have a spy this will be compromised at some point. Do not hire anyone while at war, nor for 2 weeks after the war ends or thereabouts. For transport of goods you can use courier contracts and contract it to alts outside your corp.....you know use one of those character slots you're not using. With any luck they'll move on due to boredom in a week or two. Another option is set really long skill trains and then go on a picnic in life. Be sure to leave yourself logged in while you go on the picnic so that they camp the station for no reason.

They've set unrealisically high ransoms that we've no chance of paying, and they don't seem willing to negotiate. Also, we can't afford to hire mercs to deal with them. They hunt down all our players and destroy our mining ops and there's nothing we can do. They even camp outside stations for hours just holding us hostage. It completely destroys morale and the will to play, which has lead to many members leaving our corporation. If anybody has a solution to this, please let us know. For someone criticizing my use of words, you seem to make more than a few errors yourself. "probly" should be probably. "worryed" should be worried. "pixy" should be pixie. The war cost is fairly easy to fund, and it's sort of weird that you are about paying for EVE but not actually playing it. Fighting pirates is p easy, and honourable too. Kudos to Hydra Alliance for helping out a corp in need imo.

Have everyone in your corp do the same check every day to see that the camping and wardec are still going on. You main and only tool is called bordome. This is what got you wardeced in the first place but it can also be what gets you unwardeced. Edit: See they pay to play to and if you give them no play they move on to better hunting grounds. But a 30+ man corp full of new players ya I could have seen that one coming. This guys probly been scaning looking for a corp just like yours to play with. Is it a rock? Point a Lazer at it and profit. Is it a ship? Point a Lazer at it and profit. I dont realy see any differnces here.
