That being said, its true. Market is frozen. Tried to buy two implants. Wallet lit up like it happened... five minutes later still no Wallet update showing transaction and obviously NO assets in hanger where purchased.

Be careful of buying stuff though you will receive it at some point and you will be charged for all of it.

Check this out: I logged this morning to find all my sell orders gone -- and all the items themselves gone as well. I don't even remember what I had up for sale, but one stack of HACs was worth over 2 bil by itself. Also, I had one item from that stack sell yesterday for LESS than I'd listed it. 
Filed a petition, and I hope they get this sorted soon. |

not just market issues, killed a manticore + ares (i think) and died to a blob, but my ship, and theirs didn't explode. could still speak in local, and the hostiles could bump my supposedly dead ship around with theirs. |

It IS lag. There is a minimum of NINE MINUTES lag on the market in Heimatar and as a result I now have three ships I don't want.
The whole of the Hed constellation is, as it was this morning, completely stuffed. Can't jump, can't warp, loads of desyncs....
Good patch - not. Whoever signed it off for QA needs their backside kicked. Hard.
No excuse for this. The patch that fixes desynchs - NOT! |

You mean you never played WoW? We had quite frequent crashes, as well as 600-800 people queues from time to time. Was fun coming home, logging in, sitting 30-40 minutes in queue and then be able to play. Good times.

And then you have to factor in eve's exceptional single server. When the server crashes, all of eve notices.

You said you've never played an MMO that has crashed, and yes, I have played eq2 for almost 5 years and there have been countless severe server crashes. Trust me, I used to have to put out the forum fires from people screaming and hollering every time it happened.

You probably did not play a lot of MMO, then.
I am pretty sure all MMO have occasionnal trouble.
I am really sure that for every MMO crash, there is someone on the forums complaining that it never happen in others MMO.
I have survived Everquest Shadow of Luclin launch.
And every major EQ patch as a bard.
I have enjoyed myself in the early days of Anarchy Online.
A little database issue in Eve is nothing.

100% uptime in any system is never achieveable, **** happens, and downtime doesn't count because it's planned. if you've played eve for any long period of time you;ve seen this come and go, and ignore the idiots that are telling you that they have to roll back the database they always say that....
