No im just doing it in gimp not in flash sigh Your example is horrible, the 50% alpha logo moving left to right would have taken about 10 seconds to keyframe and was obviously stolen from ccp. it took me about 5 minutes to do frame by frame as gimp does not allow you to keyframe sigh The ships are have no feather(learn to spell) on their masks making them look harsh and cheap. On this i comment that i did actually soften the ships and blended them slightly into the background. the reason that it was sharp is because it was a .gif image which only allows 256 colour images to reduce size as it would have taken alot of memory were it in full colour The background is stock footage, and not even colour balanced with the foreground elements. I was toying with the idea of adding lighting to the image as to make it look more realistic and to adjust the colour levels of the fleet but as this is merely an example i decided not to ^_^ this was a mere half an hour worth of work and i really couldnt be bothered to sweeten it up. I'm not even going to comment on the red squiggle behind the Erebus, oops I already did. It's not just a red squiggle. It's a cynosural field. it was actually one taken as a screenshot ingame i then lowered the darker levels to turn the space into pure black, i then converted the black into alpha. i then had a screenshoted cyno field to play with. Learn to blend, blur, and composite. Already can, i used it alot of times in this image. especially on the background fleet as to make them look distant i lowered their alpha somewhat and blurred them i also softened them to add a less "sharp" look. That was me being nice, some of what I said was constructive. Here's a final tip, do a static one with a bit of effort, 5mil is cheap, you will get some takers, but your example is ****ing terrible. Flash even provides all the blending you need to make it look half decent without PS. Photoshop offers hundreds of ways to combine images so that they look natural or at least could be together. If you want to create graphics you have to spend maybe at least 6-8 hours on it rather than your spare time before dinner. ------------------------------------- Don't click the links or even the forum topics.

If this is something you enjoy doing, head to your local community college and take some classes in design or printing (that was a fun one).

EDIT: actually here's some constructive comments.. lol I think you should avoid trying to make it look stylish, as in reality it takes a really good eye to pull it off. Go down the cartoony look, you can use "paint" to make really obviously jpeg cartoons and just whack them it, it's the style known as "so bad its good" wow finally someone whos not a ***. lol. i cant help but notice you post on all my threads xD
