I'm still not sure about the legion but it is a bit weak. It certainly has some of the most broken subs. If you want to fit a covert cloak and interdiction nullifier, then just get whatever. It honestly doesn't make a huge amount of difference. You'll still do pretty low damage, although depending on flavour, a pretty decent tank. If you fit like you have a death wish, then you can do sexy things. I'm quite partial to the HAM tengu. But you will near certainly die. Until strategic cruisers drop in price, then they will always get primaried. They drop better loot than the average faction spawn, and there is a definite awesome value to blowing the **** out of someones shiney over-priced toy. Oh and that loki fit is all kinds of fail. One day, someone will tell people that EHP doesn't keep you alive. If you're getting beat on by basically anything that you can't kill, you get to die slowly and painfully and people will mock your demise. EHP isn't a measure of anything good. Its a measure of how long you can put off the inevitable.

Can be fitted for gank or tank efficiently with little fuzz, hell the Proteus can do both at the same time if you have the ISK. Loki gets a lot of flak but as already shown, there are some pretty nifty fits for it. I get the impression that it is a very specialised ship. Legion suffers from Amarr's "Excellent T2-Cruiser Lineup" syndrome. No matter how you fit it you can generally do better in the standard T2 cruisers. Legion adds some numbers to values (both ship and price) but rarely enough to justify it.

T2 are specialized hence they excel at there role but pretty much sucks at anything else. T3 on the other hand is more of a Jack of all trades, good at none.

One thing that makes the Proteus an awesome boat is that it can be a far better Deimos. Proteus can have more tank, more damage, and more scram range to actually catch things.

What I don't want to do is , build a ship that is inferior in some way and have to replace it because of some info I wasnt aware of. Sounds like the Proteus is gonna be my ship , and I am leaning towards a cloaky , nullified fit . I own a Loki BPC but thats not really a good reason to pick a ship. And I cant really afford 2 T3 cruisers so I need to get the first one right. Dont let this end the thread . I bet theres tons of other info out there . Fits , knowledge , etc. Thx again
