If you like to come onto the forums to tell everyone how great a PvP corp you are and that you pwn everyone and have never lost a ship ever and that <insert CA corp here> is the bestest ever PvP corp in Eve, then yes, CA is probably the alliance to join.

Let me tell you one thing about Curse, we are the greatest alliance in the history of alliances. I happen to be in a corp in curse that completely pwns any other corp that comes withing 2 jumps of us. In fact I don't think I've ever lost a ship, we are the bestest ever PvP corp in Eve.

Most people hate curse but personally i think theyre a nice bunch of guys (and gals)and even though im not in theyre alliance i recommend them....maybe its cause they saved my ass more than one time....

As I understand it from talk to someone in CFS on TQ CA have a lot of wanted members with lot`s of bounty on them that shoot newbe`s and any one that come in to there space. Also thay blow your ship up then ask for a ransom not to pod you when you pay up they then pod you.
Can someone tell me if this true or put me right.

Curse Space is only open to CA members. All others will be met with hostile intent. As far as members sitting on gates in empire and asking for ransom, I am sure on occasion there is. The main military ops do not operate as such. If you would like further details, I will direct you to contact EternalDark, he is one of the fleet commanders.
Having a large bounty is NOT a requirement of CA.

I can already say without a shadow of a doubt that this post is going to spiral into a slogfest of "I'm better than you are" threads, "No, you're worthless" threads, and "I killed 10 m0o Battleship" threads.
Any time anything that anything is mentioned about CA in a post, the end result is always the same. A bunch of pompous blowhards on both sides puffing their chests up back and forth about who is better.
In about 5 pages, a mod will come in say "Jee, another CA vs. (WHOEVER) flamefest" and lock it, until someone else starts another thread.
It is an endless cycle of utter stupidity, perpetuated by people who spend more time on the forums typing than in-game, and I feel like I lose IQ points every time I read the forums sometimes.
Just to head off the posts to follow at the pass:
"We owned you, you safespotted"
"We safespotted because you blobbed 425 to 1"
"I killed 25 Battleships myself, and you never killed me LOL"

They also like to wage war on the enemies territory... and not wait for the enemy to attack them.
In more than a year of Eve experience, I've only battled once directly with Curse folks and they impressed the hell out of me, so they know what they are doing.
So, choose your path carefully. If you choose wisely, you will have a rewarding experience... if you choose poorly... well... thank god there are clones.

in essence, the CA is one of the oldest most succesful alliances out there, and despite being in a constant state of war against multiple enemies at any given time, finds itself hardly dazed by any losses it incurs and strikes back with great success wherever an organized CA fleet travels.
CA is not a single corporation however, it's many. And as such, there will be different voices and playingstyles even within this unified alliance. Some may pirate, some may help others, your playing style is sure to be represented.
The only choice you have to make is if you're down with the rest of the universe hating you and making slanderous statements about you. |

Of course, my opinion is just an opinion, and at least partly based on others opinions. Opinion can be worth more than fact though; why all the smack otherwise ?

Kael Elessedil trolls on all sides are attracted to forums so take all this with a pinch of salt. CA are a large alliance with closed borders which doubtless has lots of nice ppl and corps(along with the trash - just like any other).. if you want to join any corp just make your initial judgement and go for it. Stay if u like it, move on if u don't.
