CCP you're well aware that trial accounts are being used by it's own community. People in eve, uses trial account to train basic pvp skills and suicide gank industrial ships in high-sec. They don't care about security status with trials. The trial system is being used in ages now.....
The entire eve community knows about this issue, but why doesn't ccp do anything about it? |

PvP should be completely disabled for trial accounts so that new players may only mine veldspar and run missions in high security space while being immune to suicide ganks. This will kill two birds with one stone: it will make veteran miners safer while simultaneously attracting large numbers of subscribers from theme park MMOs who would like to experience the excitement of EVE's premier PvE gameplay without the constant threat of other players trying to ruin the entire game. |

Strange, I've seen people use trials to keep CONCORD around. Never heard of them being used for suicide ganking, though, especially considering that most of the characters I've seen ganking are clearly not trial alts.

Maybe not completely. Low sec, null sec, W-space, war, or any situation when you got rights should certainly be OK for trial PvP.
Note that blocking trial pvp in high sec would also stop using trials for summoning CONCORD to belts.

This is not new, it is technically against the rules, but there's more important things for CCP to be working on. Technically, they could generate a report of < 1m sp characters by ip address in an effort to find and punish some of them. Really though, you shouldn't care, don't be so bad at the game, it's fundamentally your fault.
We should certainly not add more restrictions on trial accounts, especially not restrictions related to pvp, and emergent gameplay. I recall when I first joined, I shot at someone in highsec to see what would happen, and of course I got blown up by concord. However the fact that I could, that people were not completely safe, was one of several aspect that initially drew me into the game.
Sorry, competence required, risk vs reward, don't advocate nerfing the game just because you suck at it. |

To put this into context, have a look at this semi-reasonable newbie skill plan for the first month of a new character's life. Notice what you get at the different levels GÇö a 14 day trial will just barely be able to fill up his 900k clone, and will lack some critical skills to make a good gankerGǪ and just as he gets all those skills ready, the trial will be over.
At the end of that post, I've linked the EFT character file for a 30-day character GÇö use that to build gank fits to get a far exaggerated idea of what a trial character can deliver, and then use that information to build a fit that can withstand that level of punishment.
