but aurora is not (no longer...) tied into the macro story, so again whatever they do is just a seperate player directed agent mission
even the paranoid has real enemies...

Originally by: Grinning Dragon The easiest solution to having RP for EVE would simply be to set up a RP server. I know that the economy of EVE depends on the #'s that only one server can provide, and the fact that they are able to hit 12k players on at the same time (very impressive). With that number of players, and only a fraction of them being actual RP'ers, it's very hard to immerse yourself. Really, why are Minmater Freedom Fighters mining in the Amarr homeworld belts? How do the Caldarri smugglers manage to flaunt their wares openly in Gallente space? The list goes on.
No, as much as I'd love to be able to find EVE an immersive RP experience it will never happen until they split the RP population from the regular crowd and have faction/standing/borders actually mean something. To achieve that end, I think they need a 2nd server.
My 0.02 isk opinion is strictly my own and should not reflect on any still pools, mirrors or shiny objects.
no let it stay on one server, create a rp incentive, peoples (alliances) actions should 'make the news' be able to move borders etc. you can rp all you want if theres no 'reason' for it it will eventually fade
