Hi. A bunch of us want to get into pvp and are planning on starting a corp. We're unclear about one thing of the war dec mechanics.
The Eve Wiki says, "A corporation can only have a maximum of 3 wars." What does this mean? Is it 3 wars in total, or 3 war declarations in total? For example,
1. 3 corps war dec my corp. Does this mean my corp can't war dec anyone else, or can we still war dec 3 other corps?
2. My corp war decs 2 corps. Does this mean only 1 other corp can declare war on my corp, or is the number of corps declaring war on my corp unlimited?
The question is, basically, can a bunch of corps war dec your corp to prevent you from declaring war on someone else? Thanks. |

Incoming war decs are unlimited I believe. If you have a corp, as many people as they want can dec you. For every dec you currently have active though, the more it costs them to declare against you as well. This is why some cowardly corps will create fake corps to dec their real corp, so that anyone who wants to dec against the real corp will have a higher bill to pay.
Your corp can only have 3 outgoing war decs, which was instituted cause there was a certain corporation back in ye old days that was war deccing EVERYONE.

Privateers. This is know as the Privateers nerf.
So next time they tell you Eve is a sandbox ... don't believe it.
The Dev's didn't approve of this play style, so they made it impossible.

"A game mechanic that allowed you to completely negate the high sec / low sec / 0.0 system by making everyone a wartarget got adjusted" sounds more like it. That doesn't mean EVE isn't a sandbox game.

My corp is in FW for caldari. The two wars from FW do count toward teh war limit. I can only war dec 2 corps before gettin the 'yer in too many wars allready'

I always enjoy telling people "One of the Alliances that one of my characters was in had such a major impact on the game that CCP had to modify the game because of them". I'd post with that character but he was permanently banned from the forums.
