When encountering a FW-fitted Rifter, is it more likely to have more turrets or focus more on missles? The Ishkur has a weakness against explosive damage, which makes me think it's not the best shiptype to engage a Rifter with. Correct?

Rifter will always have three guns, and either a single rocket launcher, nos, or neut in the last high-slot- rocket is negligible damage, don't worry about it. Ishkur should destroy Rifter, if it doesn't, urdoinitrong

You want missles... I mean seriously, the ship has bonuses to Projectile weapons, why would you want to use those?!?
(Honestly... use 3 autocannons and a rocket launcher/small nos)

I've been engaged by Rifters quite a few times, and often I was receiving missle-fire. I'm on the Gallente side, and thus is makes sense since most Gallente ships have a weakness to missles.

There's no such thing as a 'weakness to missiles'...

I would be more concerned with the laser rifters, to be honest. The missile rifters aren't nearly as bad in comparison.

To elaborate, missiles do pure damage, and projectile weapons, such as autocannons, do a mix of types. If a rifter pilot wants to do explosive damage, they'll use autocannons with barrage, depleted uranium, or nuclear ammunition. Even fitted with 2 rocket launchers doing full explosive damage, the rifter will do less damage to an Ishkur than with 3 autocannons because of ship bonuses. On the other hand, some frigates like a Minmatar Breacher or Caldari Kestrel, specialize in missiles and likewise receive bonuses to boost their damage or range.

Soooo.. point stands, no such thing as weakness to missiles.
Damage types are different. Yeah, you can swap them out. Its akin to saying Brutix is weak to long-range damage; technically, notrly.
