Hi,
I allready have an eve account and I would like to have a 2nd one. I was thinking to start a trial and after 2 weeks to pay for it with $ or PLEX.
It is against EULA to start a trial if you allready have one account?

It's possibly worth mentioning that a paid-for account and a trial account cannot be run simultaneously on the same machine.
Just in case you weren't already aware.

If you do this then you may want to take advantage of the buddy program.

buddy program doesn't work for a second account for yourself.
It only works when you're inviting a friend, instead of your alter ego

The "Power of 2" is a promotion offered by CCP to encourage players to get a second account. It allows you to create a new account with 6 months subscription time for $50.
To take advantage of that promotion, simply log into the Account Management page, press the "Feel the Power of 2" button, and follow the instructions. Alternately you could try going directly to this link.

How long I wonder will it be going for? I hope it's still there when I go back home tonight :)
Where can I find the details on it though? Is the fee only for the second account?

Buddy program does work for yourself, I used it to get my second account and got the 30 days out of it

According to the email I received the offer is running until October 17th, 2009. CCP has repeated this offer about twice a year for as long as I can remember.
You will likely have received an email regarding the offer. Basicly this is what it says:

venture. A second account also means more places you can be at once, which makes

There are plenty of reasons to have a second account, and right now the biggest one
is the Power of 2.

Offer valid only for newly created accounts. Existing accounts (trials included),
active or expired, do not qualify for this promotion. Power of 2 may not be combined
with other offers. Subscription of the new account will automatically renew after
the six month period. Renewal will occur at the regular six month subscription
price. Offer only available for Credit Cards and Direct Debit.
Offer expires October 17th, 2009.
The fee is only for the second account. It is an independant account. If you stop paying for your main account it will expire as normal. Likewise, after the 6 months you will need to fund your new account the same as any other.

Sounds interesting, I'm just wondering if I should do this or make a trial with the buddy system. I guess this offer is good for at least a month so I will think about it. :) |

...and if you decide not to go with this offer, you can always change your mind the next time CCP makes the offer, which will probably be in February/March and September/October if the past couple years are anything to go by.
