There is an issue with the graphical settings regarding texture quality.
All textures are stuck in low settings.
Ships, stations, gates. walls. materials. --- TEXTURES ---
are all stuck to low.
This seems to only happen with my ati video card. game looks great in my laptop when set to max settings. Except i get 3 fps.
I completely uninstalled EVE, re-downloaded it, re-installed it, and nothing changed.
I even updated my catalyst drivers. I was one version behind. No change. Re installed eve again with the new drivers. NO change.
I've changed settings up and down, tried different combinations. nothing improves the texture quality.
steps to reproduce?
set all settings to max in a system like mine. watch texture quality look like ****.
comp information:
Windows 7 ultimate 64bit. Version6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 7601

I too am having this issue. I also use ATI cards (5770) and made sure to update drivers, roll back drivers, played with the CCC settings, played with the mipmap detail (research showed this had resolved similar issues in the past), but have not found anything that works.
And installing new drivers for ATI is such a PITA, you know you're desperate when you're going down the list of driver versions to see if it resolves your EVE texture issues. |
