I was reading the Eve box at the electronics store today (never seen it, was kind of novel) and it said on the back:
Issue voice commands to your fleet ...
Anyway, voice commands huh? Cool. Let me know when I can say "fleet align blah blah" and the fleet aligns automatically to the gate. Or, "fleet jump." That'd be a handy one.
Also, "Fleet self-destruct." Yeah.

That's what they promise and that's what they deliver. You can give voice commands to your fleet (which is probably good since reading comprehension seems to be a widespread problem).

Blane, my server was just moved and the PHP broke (32 bit to 64 bit servers), so I've just mailed my hosting company to fix it :(

Think of it more like herding cats 
EVE does not work by voice recognition, it refers to you being able to use features such as EVE voice to do fleet ops by talking to your fleet mates. If you're lucky, they will align when you issue the order

Well, it now lets you talk to your fleet-mates. Which I assume is what its talking about. So pretty much lives up to its advertisement.
Course, we use our own Teamspeak, so whatever.

You're probably better sticking with TS, I haven't managed to get EVE voice working. It may improve with the release of COSMOS but the only thing you will probably ever get to control via voice commands are drones
