There is a setting for this in Fraps - do the reverse of whatever you are doing and check the results.
If you still have an issue - there might be a workaround, or, it had been resolved in one of the updates for Fraps and you could be running an older version. These audio issues were surrounding Vista users - are you one of them?
If you still have an issue - I'm afraid to say that (for the quality of screencapture) Fraps really is probably the best commercial product out there, and I would suggest searching for an opensource variant on the same theme of compressed/lossless AVI capture.
Camtasia is best used for training and tutorials (I use it for my tutorials) and to be fair I havenÆt tried to use it for game capture as Fraps is so good I have no need to.
Gamecam û heard about it, never used it û could be good, but I heard the quality lacks the definition of Fraps.

Try Xfire, its what I use and is quite nice.
Why do you bother with the audio anyway? Pretty much all the videos released on here just drop the audio.

Fraps is truely the king since it keeps a near uncompressed copy to allow the highest quality.
If you are looking for an alternative. Try Xfire video recording. If you set it to highest quality it's very good for it's size and completely free. I don't use it since fraps works fine but it's not shabby for what it gives. ------------------------------------- Don't click the links or even the forum topics. |
