I read the eve foroms quite often and hardly ever respond. Don't like getting into a who has the biggest epeen contest. From what I know Liang and some others around here will actually give good info. Unlike C&P where all they talk about is how they just scammed someone.
I say if the fit works for you use it. Your skills and knowledge will come around allowing you to make changes and experiment with others to see what you like on what specific missions that work best. When you run into a problem all be it tank, gank or cap then time to rethink your fit or skills or just do what is best and what EVE is all about. CALL FOR HELP! Many out there more than willing to give others a hand.

I suspect that's conditionally true - for example if you're shooting faction torps. It certainly isn't true at range, and I doubt it's true if you're a cheapskate with T1 torps.
I must admit I am a cheapskate when it come to use missiles for pve, I even have indy alts that mine and build them for me, so they're FREE. But, I do however use faction crystals for my tachs. Been a very long time since I had any destroy themselves on me, shhh thats a secret don't tell the devs.
Also, I must apologize to Liang, it was I that linked this thread in BC. Didn't know it was going to come to all this. I just figured you know ur sh*t and I wanted to shed some light on some noobs and the good people of BC. Mike712 seems like a kool guy just have to get to know him.

I suggest since you are used to a passive drake go with a large faction booster perma tank.
Also if you DC with such a fit you don't die which is nice.
And liang always looking for ways to improve my sniper rokh what would you suggest to bring it to "optimal" performance, I'm guessing any changes would however only be negligible as it already out-performs all the other sniper BS's at pretty much all ranges..
Mike, not to answer for Liang and really need to specify your intended use for your Rokh snipe fit. Most BS snipers are to be used for POS take downs. Usually, when the enemy is not even online. Having only the POS defenses to worry about. So, this means no mwd imo. Also, some rr would be usefull as even the best logistics pilot can only target so many ships. This also needs some way to recharge the cap to keep your guns online. Again, even the best logistics pilot can only target so many ships. Whatever, that's what I think of when I think of snipe rokh. If you're using it for other purposes like gate camping then mwd is fine, but your cap is on the other hand still an issue.

Poor caldari always getting used as bait. Wonder if it will be able to tank that post dominion super weapon. I know many pilots that prefer blaster rokhs over throns for their awesome range. Oh well, what do I know my first BS was a mining rokh. Got tired of having rats blow up my retrievers after I feel asleep mining.

I too still have that Rokh. it's even seen some wh action. now it's only collecting dust, I can't bring myself putting it out there on contracts. Broke my heart when I let go my lvl 3 mission grinding passive drake.
