After the panel and private discussions with developers today at the Fanfest I must say that I have regained my faith in CCP.
The ideas that they laid out and their admission that all is not well in the system to support RP rekindled my faith.
I'm a hard man to sell things to, I bought their commitment today. Hoping much of what was discussed will make it.

I would love to share but these were for large part ideas and intentions, not actual implementations.
They sounded promising (in my opinion) for the Amarr-Minmatar factions for example.

They tell them all manner of wonderful things and the person is impressed such powerful people listen to them and off they go.
Watch Tony Blair in the UK do it, again and again.
See the fuel strike collapse after shaking hands with power.
Watch people fold up about the state of the NHS when Blair says "we have done a lot, lots more needs to be done".

I was impressed with the ideas.
As for being in awe of the devs, it's a curious affliction many seem to have, including being in awe with Tony Blair and other political leaders.
They are just people with lots of power, that doesn't make them awe inspiring people.

I remember a very old statement from Pann during beta. She said dont expect amarrians to be able to visit minmatar territory and vice versa. I do not believe this can be forced on the players who are in 99% in mixed races corporations anymore.
But the idea behind the background and all the love they put for example into npc-corporations (check their relations, who has shares of whom) make me think they have planned much more than we can see today. There are only other priorities regarding gameplay, balance and content in the moment.
