Originally by: Yankunytjatjara Sure; the fact that without a damage bonus though, the AC is chosen, shows how ACs are better (at small scale).
Artifical war in high sec at frigate level is meaningful for whole EVE. Not.
Minnies happen to have one of best frigates and a decent cruiser. That does not change the fact that right now projectiles are really terribad.

Edited by: Otebski on 30/10/2009 12:23:24 When going into pvp in tech 1 shield ship i always plug EM hole. Forcing armor tankers to do just them same is good for the game. Right now armor tanking is the king of the hill. If all those trimarked plated ships replced one eanm with explosive hardener not only they will up their defenses vs minmatar but also lower vs other ships.
Liang can you please post graphs if target BS used eanm + explo hardener instead of double eanm?
Also posting relevant EHP of ships in question would be cool too.

Edited by: Otebski on 30/10/2009 19:47:31 Liang can you please swap from using 2 eanm targets to eanm+explo or 2x eanm and 1 explo rig? You know the big "what if" people actually start pluging explo hole

I used the falloff bonus from the CCP post, and tracking I used as largest tier. CCP said there were no nerfs involved. Which is to say, since everything is using largest tier weapons, TQ tracking and Dom falloff.
-Liang
Uhm did they retract the idea of nerfing tracking of projectiles by 15% per size?

Weeapon ballance first TE?TC balancing after.
Having a weapon system balanced around using tripple ambit and 2x TE is going to fail

Ammo changes are real nice. Didnt test in pvp yet but fusion vs angels is pretty hilarious:) Sad part is that performance of ship is now based on TE. Without it all ships i tried so far have poor performance while with te they all seem fine. Increase falloff on guns and slightly reduce it on TEs please

Originally by: Meeko Atari Alright, I tested AC's on SiSI and i have to say not much of an improvement there, but they do work better.
However something is really wrong with Arty's, I doesn't seem like anything changed here. any advice on how I'm supposed to use them in their new role?
I belive new role for arties is shooting them with short range ammo at scorch optimal range at 40% dps but some alpha.....

My computer died and I'm a couple days out of getting it set back up. What do TC/TE's look like?
-Liang
TE - 30% TC -15% 30% with optimal script. Not entirly sure the script part works. ambits - 15% t1 20% t2.
All in all damage is nice as long as you fit 3 gyros plus 2 of ambit/te/tc Damage selection is top notch fun tho. Some fast reload skill would be handy

Edited by: Otebski on 05/11/2009 21:49:43 To all people that claim 10% is just fine boost per tier. FFS amarr have 30% falloff increase per tier on top of 20% optimal increase. Even assuming Focused and Heavy pulse represent d180 and 425 respectivly anything under 15% increase per tier is some silly joke. Imo original iteretion which we didnt even have chance to test was way better. You cant balance minnies with assumption everyone will fit 5 mods devoted to damage.

THIS! I Totally Agree
Are you just To mare's alt?
Everyone with more than a couple of brain cells to rub together know that there interlinked, hell, there part of Nozh's OP. If we should stop talking about them, we should probably stop talking about the ammo changes too.
Everyone with more than a couple of brain cells to rub togather know that balancing ships around fitting 5 damage mods is failed concept.

Dont worry. Its offset by having to train armor and shield, turrets and missiles and drones and navigation to be any effective.
