PIE Inc would like to announce that it has officially declared war on Hooligans of War (HoW), a 66-member pirate corporation occupying a number of low-sec Amarrian Empire systems.
In our role as Guardians of the Empire we intend to either eliminate these pirates or force them to move out of Amarr Empire space.
It is our duty to ensure that Amarrian law is upheld throughout the Empire and that traders can go about their business without being harrassed by pirates.
Our CVA allies will be supporting us in our actions against HoW, just as they support us in our continued actions against terrorists.
We hope this clears up some of the speculation about why we retracted our war against SMaK Enterprises.
As stated elsewhere on GalNet we feel that at the present time this war slot could be used in a way which was more beneficial to Amarrian interests.

I would like to wish PIE a glorious campaign. These pests have inhabited Empire space far too long. I remember being a brand new battleship pilot in my first corp back when I still knew what a mining laser looked like, and being jumped (quite ineptly I might add) by these thugs.

But true meekness is one that has penetrated and laid its roots in the very heart of a man.

Last night PIE took its first actions against Hooligans Of War (HoW) and other pirates in the Misaba region since the offical war went active.
One pirate Raven from the Soul Cartel and three pirate cruisers from Hooligans of War were destroyed in separate actions. Amarrian forces suffered no losses. We will not rest until these pirates and their allies cease and desist their hostile actions in the Kheram, Gemodi, Valmu, Mamet, Misaba regions and the neighbouring 0.0 areas.
Other corporations operating in the area are free to go about their business with the proviso that they respect Amarrian law and the jurisdiction of the Empire, that they do not pirate and that they are willing to act with the CVA to keep the region clear of criminals.
Here is a report from Deacon Ezar Vorbarra relating to the destruction of three HoW cruisers last night:

For those who can attend, we will be doing an op into the Misaba area to celebrate the coming of justice against HOW.

It had begun, detailed orders had arrived from our new CEO and it was time to start the Misaba Campaign. The war has begun and the late shift had our marching orders.
I immediately forwarded the details to all available combat pilots. ArchBishop, Gaven, and Gracchus responded and moved at best speed to rendevous in Mista. The enemy was waiting there for us.
That was two hours ago.

Time: 25/10/2004
The burly Amarr Marines threw the two filthy pirates to the ground, blood dribbling from the corners of their mouths and from multiple cuts and bruises on their faces. "Priest" Falrach and "Priest" Valton had not come easily, but they could not escape superior Amarrian forces.
It was time for the Lord's holy judgement.
Archbishop nervously tugged at his white collar, marking him a priest of PIE's holy clergy. It was clear that he had never done this before.
Ezar had, many times in fact during the wars against the "Old Detroit Crime Syndicate" and "Biomass". Ezar adjusted his own collar, opened his book of scriptures, and began to read aloud. Archbishop lowered his head in reverence and prayer.
"The Amarr people came into the world and the world came into being.
Our illustrious ancestors freed their souls from the evils of the old world and created a new one.
The captive "Hooligans of War" pirates began to squirm uncomfortably. Ezar's prayer sounded too much like last rites...
The great Amarr Empire was founded to cultivate the spirit of man.
To do so the enemies of the outside had to be defeated and the enemies of the inside controlled.
More marines arrived from Ezar's command shuttle, carrying heavy wooden crosses. One was dropped on the ground in front of each pirate. Eyes wide, one of the pirates let out a feral scream as they both tried to bolt for the open space near the landing area.
Four marines caught the scum easily and held them fast, two others began to dig small holes in the ground near the crosses.
The Lord gave our Emperor the power to harness the Good and punish the Evil.
One of the marines began to pound a sign into the top of each wooden cross above the center. Each sign was painted with a single latin word: "PIRATA"
Despite the noisy pounding, Ezar continued:
Ever since, the Emperor has lived the lives of his subjects and breathed the air of authority."

"See that it is finished, I must fill out a report to our new CEO" Ezar said coldly.
Archbishop looked at the lives he was about to end and only nodded.
The pirates began to plead for their lives. Priest Valton begged, "Gaven, Ezar any chance you can just let us be?"
Gaven turned his head from the pirate in disgust, fingering the rapier always at his side. Ezar turned to leave. Archbishop picked up a hammer and set of iron spikes, handing them to the nearest Amarrian marine.
Ezar reached his shuttle and turned as he closed the door. He could see the marines in the distance moving the struggling pirate scum onto their new wooden prisons. The command shuttle door closed just as the screaming and pounding started.
Despite the noise, Archbishop faithfully delivered their last rites, the last words they would ever hear before their inevitable clone-reactivation.

Are these crosses placed in their pods or something? How can they reactivate their clones if they nailed to crosses outside their pods where the mind scan can't function?

It is quite simple Amarula.
Thier clones activate the second the pod is breached as their bodies are ejected into space, and into the waiting cargo holds of our ships.
These two were heretics and pirates so we made a special effort to keep their pitiful remains from death so that their executions would make a superb object lesson for anyone who might consider piracy in Amarr space a good idea.
They were offered a chance to repent, and give up piracy and heresy forever... but they did not do so and this was their fate, as it will be the fate of all of the scum they call friends and allies.
Mista is Amarran. The surrounding systems are Amarran. All who attack Amarran interests there shall leave, or they shall die. And their remains shall be a symbol that the Amarr are not to be trifled with.

Give Them Hell and Blood, PIE! May your campaigns be decisive and painful for HoW. I still have a score to settle with one of their members, SilentForce, so if you see him on the battlefield, I hope he suffers the consequence of being a Pirate harassing low sec systems.

PIE SAVE A PIRATE SOUL
As reported already PIE has been inflicting casualties on the pirates who infect low-sec Amarrian space.
This evening however we dispensed mercy as well as laser fire - and suceeded in turning a pirate from his dark path.
Priest Valton of HoW and his colleague Priest Volten had suffered three cruiser losses at the hand of PIE last night. This evening they again flew into the clutches of a PIE fleet.
One of the pair was immediately relieved of his Caracal and then his life. The other managed to flee from the fleet but was trapped in system.

I believe the current number is 21 wars active at this time. Two corps retracted wars last week although I cant recall them ever fighting us anyway. Of the 21 active wars in game I'd say 5-6 involve actually "frequent combat" where we're fighting back and forth. Corps like Matusa Matari, Freelance Unincorporated, Vronsky Brothers and Hooligans of War, a couple others including Paratwa Ra and Rona Paratwa fight less often but are still active. Minmatar Marines have seen us on occasion (bad for them) as well. We have some wars against corps I've never heard of. Several are against 1-2 man corps. BATTLEREPORT
This evening the pirate corp HoW teamed up with Fr33ks corp and set up a blockade in R3 system with two mobile warp disruptors. The pirates had 14 ships in the system including 9 battleships.
PIE had 5 battleships in R3 with some support ships. Another 3 PIE BS and a sympathiser's Raven were scrambled and swiftly moved to Misaba and jumped into R3 coordinating closely with the PIE forces in R3 who warped to the gate.
The PIE fleet concentrated its fire very effectively. We believe at this time that 7 of the 9 pirate BS were destroyed. Amarrian forces also destroyed another 5 other assorted HoW and Fr33k cruisers and interceptors.
The pirate's own warp disruptors prevented many of their pods from getting away from the battle and as a result seven pirates had their clones reactivated.
Amarrian forces lost no ships in the engagement.
In addition to the 7 pirate battleships destroyed in this battle a further HoW BS was destroyed by a lone PIE pilot, DarkMatters, this morning.
In its campaign against pirates active in low-sec Amarrian space PIE has so far destroyed 9 battleships (once the the 7 tonight is confirmed), approximately 8/9 cruisers and a number of smaller ships. PIE losses to date has been a single Crusader interceptor. Several HoW pilots have already seen the error of their criminal ways and left the Corporation...
We have to give both Fr33ks and HoW credit for having the guts to seek an engagement with PIE tonight and for their respectful behaviour in the local comms system following the engagement.
We would like to remind HoW and other criminals in the Kheram/Valmu/Gemodi/Mamet/Misaba area that their activities will not go unpunished. However it doesn not have to be like this. If these corporations accept 3 basic conditions PIE shall leave them in peace to conduct respectable business in this region.
The three conditions are:
1) Agree to respect Amarrian law while operating in the area
2) Make a public renouncmnnt of piracy and a commitment to not persue this path any longer
3) Agree to work with PIE in tackling other criminals either operating in the region at present or in the future
We hope that the pirates will see the wisdom of this in due course and join the path to enlightenment. If they do not then we shall continue to work to punish them for their sins.
Any Minmatars think of exploiting laxness in PIE's defence of Amarr during its campaign against the pirates should be aware that following its victory against the pirates PIE, working with CVA allies Dark Seraph, succeeded in destroying a terrorist Raven and Blackbird in Amarr.

Khaldorn slipped into the command centre to pick up his orders, this place was getting busier and busier by the day. And it didnt help that they had to move its location lest they get pinned down by Republic officials or their enemies.
He walked over to the coffee machine as he read over his latest orders, filling his cup up and placing his thumb print on the datapad to acknowledge the order.
Sipping his coffee he walked over to the big viewscreen on the far wall detailing operational pilots, known enemy locations and suspected slave convoys. He flipped a comms switch to the left of the screen
"All active Wolf Pack pilots please report to command center for briefing."
He sipped more of his coffee as he studied the screen, another clash with AMAX had recently occurred. This Gladius Legion they had formed was looking frail however. Their allies had taken the misguided step of declaring war on the Masuata Matari tribe, in their arrogance thinking to take on the largest freedom fighter tribe out of them all... they had paid the price for that dearly. Retracting their war with the tribe they had, he thought, hoped to seek solace and replace their losses. The Voshoud of that tribe was no fool however, and now Metatron were running, he would take his warriors and finish them. Good riddance, he had seen reports of what those people had done to enslaved Matari. He hoped his fellow warriors burned everyone of those accurssed Amarrians alive in their pods.
His attention turned as Pilots began filtering into the command centre, he clasped hands with Darius as he entered.
"Good to see you brother" said Khaldorn "I believe you owe me two casks of Spiced wine still?"
"Hah! You will get them brother, its about time you won something of me eh?"
Khaldorn laughed, and as the last of the pilots filtered in, he flicked the viewscreen to display Amarr space and the current known locations of the CVA fleet. He looked around at his fellow pilots, he liked the wing.
"Alright hears the deal, the CVA fleet has been concentrating on clearing their backwaters from pirate threats."
"Hah! about time they concentrated on real criminals and stopped protecting their damn slaver holder masters." retorted 22 who was standing at the back grabbing a beer from the fridge.
"Aye sister, but as you can see from this latest info we have" Khadlorn pointed behind him to the screen "Their borders are now loosely protected. So Maggot wants to step up the slave raids, we have a window of opportunity here to free more of our brethren than we could usually manage. We'll need a haulerpilot.."
The whole room groaned at such a thought
"I know, I know, but someones gotta do it so we'll draw straws. Then we are heading into Domain on an extended slave convoy raid, keep your wits about you as always brothers, sisters, they may be distracted but we should never underestimate them. Our brothers and sisters held in bondage are relying on us, lets get to this, we'll be taking alternate routes to the destinations, splitting into three groups. hands up who wants to lead. The LEGION Corp has declared war on PIE in sympathy with the plight of their piratical brothers in Hooligans of War.
This morning in Amarr LEGION attempted to ambush a PIE member. They did not succeed!
The LEGION CEO lost her Apocalypse (dropping 6 MODULATED heavy lasers in loot). Another pirate interceptor was destroyed as well as a frigate whose pilot was podded.
Amarrian justice continues to prevail.
Operation Enlightenment has, in the past 6 days, seen the destruction of around 11 HoW/Fr33ks/LEGION/Soul Cartel battleships + aproximately 14 other assorted pirate vessels. HoW are camped nightly and they have lost over 10 members in the last week.
In that time PIE has lost two Interceptors and a friend's Raven.
Surely the Emperor God is blessing this operation to clear pirates from low-sec Amarrian space.
The pirates will continue to be bathed in the in the cleansing light of our holy lasers until they repent of their sins and renounce their heretical way of life.
Despite our operations against the pirates PIE has continued to maintain a presence in the war against terror. At least two Minmatar terrorist battleships also succumbed to CVA forces this week...

Seeing the pirates members ignore the plight of their friends and flee for whatever boltholes they may have is a sure sign that the weaker minded pirates resolve is shaken.
They seem not to enjoy this game where they are the hunted.

Khaldorn watched as his freed brethren disembarking from the ships that had taken part in the latest raid into Amarr space. Medical personel were looking after the sick and injured, more than there should have been on a transport, the Amarr on that convoy seemingly took the opportunity to inflict one last act of hate upon his people before running to their escape pods.
With all the additional raids, taking advantage of the light CVA defences on the borders, their support facilities were filling up fast, they had recently contacted an agency that had facilities for helping these people, and they would soon have to use them.
His PDA buzzed, and he acknoledged the communication.
"Khaldorn here"
"Khal, get to a ship, we are heading out to Amarr space.. agents have reported that CVA forces are deep in the backwaters of Amarr. Were heading out after a slaver sweep of our systems, command thinks if we can take them by surprise we may be able to inflict some losses to allow us to continue our stepped up raiding." reported in WitchDoctor.
"Roger Witch, ill meet you at the rally point"
.. 2 hours later ...
Onboard computer: JUMPING
Systems scanning..
Hooooly shiiii..
"Hell, its a trap! They have a strong force of Battleships at the gate!"
"Too late Khal, the fleet has already jumped. Command to fleet: engage primary target, we need to punch our way out of here."
Pilots voices echoed confirmation as the pilots decloaked and began to engage the forces arrayed against them. Khaldorn swung his ship around and let off a volley at the nearest ship, as his scanner targetted the painted target.
The comms system echoed with the noises of battle, His sheilds were already stripped, and his armour wasnt going to last long under the torrent of fire being directed at him.
"Fleet this is command, we are getting our of here, there is a window - set warp co-ordinates for 4532:343 and engage."
Khaldorn swung his ship around and his armour was getting stripped by lasers. dammit, he wasnt going to make it. He punched up the ship comms.
"Crew to your escape pods, abandon ship, abandon ship!"
A loud boom sounded as the last of the armour blew away from his Rupture. Damage reports filled his view as the ship began to engage its warp drive. Suddenly his screen went blank and then flickered back into view as his pod was jettisoned. The warp drive kicked straight in and he was soon hanging in space with his comrades at the rally.
This day belonged to the Amarr it seemed. The war was far from over. And while the Amarr were busy out here, his comrades were busy freeing more and more of their brethren. There would be another day, another battle, and another chance to make these Amarrians pay for their crimes against his people.

What does it matter to the terrorists whether the CVA are doing some house cleaning? The terrorist actions last night actually give solace to the very pirates who regularly terrorise low-sec Minmatar space.
Yesterday was not a trap. A small Amarrian force were camping a larger group of pirates when we got word that a 10-strong Minmatar fleet had appeared in the next system.
Rather than run we gathered our ships together and waited for the terrorist attack. The gate activated and our pilots made ready. We were outnumbered but had the advantage in battleships.
Once again Amarrian firepower provided superior. As well as the Rupture of Khaldorn (a nice change from that Rifter ) a terrorist Scorpion and Tempest also fell to the our holy lasers.
The Amarrian fleet did not lose a ship and maintained its stranglehold on the pirate criminals in the system...
The remnants of the devastated and trapped Minmatar 'patrol' scattered and went into 'silent' running.
Khaldorn - while you hope to take advantage of our current focus on pirates and restoring order to a low-sec section of Amarrian space - let there be no doubt that we have not forgotten the other plank of our policy which is the protection of Amarrians from the horrific crimes of Minmatar terrorist criminals.
Indeed even while we have been combating the pirates so successfuly we also managed to destroy the battleships of your partners in terror - Zoolkhan and Maggot.
Have no doubt that you shall see us very soon.

I am a humble warrior, I care only about the freedom of my people. And you and your kind are a barrier to that freedom, and we shall strike you wherever you may be. Whilst you defend the right of your people to enslave others, and protect those who profit from such actions, we will fight you. Until the end, as you well know by now.

The old Brutor took a step back and clutched at his chest as his insides all seem to bunch up.
Growling he waved away his secretary who wore a concerned expression on her matronly face "Please leave Mrs Inama" he gritted out through clenched teeth against the pain inside.
The woman now frowning and muttering to herself about stubborn Minmatar men , no doubt intending to contact a physician the moment she was out of sight.
Taking a few moments to breathe , the old Brutor read the PIE released statement again.. Two battleships lost
And he know well one of them.. The one he had completed only 5 days earlier.
"Gods help me , but this war is killing me"
"How can the Amarr triumph so completely .. again and again.
I put.. everything into that ship"
The initial shock loosing it's grip breathing came easier again. The financial strain in creating the ship were significant , but not overwhelming.
Playing at war made no financial sense whatsoever, and he could easily see how such a fight might bleed any man dry no matter his wealth.
... But , he wanted to DO something .. to help and see results instead of all that damnable waiting and talking.
He could talk and he could reason, but he would have to take the long view indeed to see any changes in the Republic and definitly in the Amarr. All this time spent trying to work out something.. small allowances , little steps ..
Sometimes he just wanted to see results.. People freed.
Soon he would have more sources of information. His own cohort within the Freedom fighters ranks. And he had contacted several more and started to raise interest and devotion to the Freedom fights. The ranks would swell.
He would continue to aid the cause covertly.
Weapons .. ships .. but perhaps he should get a better grip of the situation first.. More people , people who would keep him in the loop.
This old Brutors hot air would attempt to create a little wind under the freedom fighters wings.
He stopped, and took a long deep breath , the pain subsided at last. He would have to walk a thin line. Could he keep up the appearance? His diplomatic and politic work depended on keeping the .. rebels at an arms length, yet he was ever drawn in deeper with every shred of information that reached him. He had work to tend as well.. and damn it .. Concealing all these large withdrawals from his assets were not easy either.
