Edited by: Mistress Templar on 26/09/2009 11:43:44 oh bugger, I hope you blokes aren't in on why so many people buy frozen corpses off other people D=.
If Veldspar is Mrs. Chribba and I just drilled her 2 hours ago with my long, pulsating yellow beams and that means Mrs. Chribba isn't giving Mr. Chribba all her ore and is cheating(on) him of all the tritanium.
Hiding the frozen corpses and continues to drill Mrs. Chribba for monetary gains, Mistress Templar.

Why would Chribba want to marry veldspar. I'm pretty sure he knows, that most players have drilled her at least once during their EVE career. She's the ore that keeps on giving and she shares her generous bounty to everyone who wants a piece of her.

Well, I'm sure if Chribba married Veldspar, he would keep her available for anyone else as well. After all, he's not only nice like that, he's from Sweden... BECAUSE OF FALCON. Guide to forum posting |

Thats a myth. Ships captains have no lawful authority to conduct weddings. Unless he/she also happens to a registrar, or a priest

Did you have a close look at the CCP picture of "joe in jail", it looked like my cellmate was about to perform a marriage ceremony

Originally by: Code of Federal Regulations, Title 32, Subtitle A, Chapter VI, Subchapter A, Part 700, Subpart G, Rule 716, also known as 32 CFR 700.716)
"The commanding officer shall not perform a marriage ceremony on board his ship or aircraft. He shall not permit a marriage ceremony to be performed on board when the ship or aircraft is outside the territory of the United States, except: (a) In accordance with local laws ... and (b) In the presence of a diplomatic or consular official of the United States."
So at least in the United States, or on a vessel flagged by the US, the answer is no, according to the laws governing those vessels.
Also, if you want to get technical about it, we're the pilot of our ship, which may or may not be the same thing as the captain (and could vary based on the size of the ship). --Vel

They are like any other piece of equipment on the ship. Best not to worry about whether they exist or not or how many all of the sudden stopped doing anything after that last battle or why a few of the cowards abandoned ship the moment that room got vented into space, it'll sort itself out.

Can you have any other kind of marriage in EvE? Well, if you hitched with Wetrain it could be considered an interspecies marriage

You sure can. You are the Master and Commander of your ship. Of course, when you dock the legality of the ceremony might be called into question... but aboard ship, you can do what ever you want.
