But is it true that turrets won't get the receding / recoil animation again they had before Apocrypha? (Barrels where pushed back into the turret housing during the firing sequence .. which was pretty neat)
Lightning objects around the turrets has been missing since Apocrypha too.. any chance that will return in Dominion? (Lasers used to light nearby objects and ship parts in the color of their crystal for example) ____________ nerf metagaming, boost fun |

I don't think they are... which is a real shame. The shadows used to be a lot better too, but they made them all blocky and ugly after apoc. I thought they were supposed to be improving the graphics not f**king them up!
PS - Fix this bloody five minute crap ccp its getting ridiculous!

We also need to make Light Electron blaster II's visible again. Don't think you can see them at all on TQ, on sisi you see the shadows, but that's about it.

Did you file a bug report about these issues you mention?
And on the shadows, ships never shadowed eachother before apocrypha. So unless I am mistaking there was no graphics degradation with the expansion. But you are very welcome to file a bug report with good reproduction steps and screenshots and we'll take a look at it.

I just think considering the capabilities of the graphics engine in EVE, the shadows you see are quite low res and are quite blocky. Perhaps in the future it would be possible to add a slider to increase/decrease the res of the shadows for those of us with monster rigs can enjoy them in full? An example, if you look at the video for the trinity expansion... look at the shadows on the stations they're really crisp, if you look at them now they're blocky on the edges. Really looks silly sometimes.
Regarding the turret recoil... I don't have any screenshots of that. But since apoc it no longer works, was this intentional? Or a side affect of something else you did?

Yes I did.. as soon as I noticed the missing turret recoil on SiSi during Apocrypha testing in February '09 Bugreport ID 71719 AFAIK the turret recoil effect is working for nobody anymore. ____________ nerf metagaming, boost fun |

There was a massive shadow degradation with the expansion. Shadows are worse then when the game first shipped now. I and many other bugged reported this. Shadows used to be smooth and look like shadows now you get big ugly looking blocks. Before the expansion shadows looked great, now shadows look like a 1996 game.
Filing bug reports do not work. Half the time you are told its not a bug when it clearly is.
EDIT: basically the expansion removed the shadow quality options for everyone and then set shadows to very low for everyone. ______ How to Passive Shield Tank T2

Speaking about turret animations all the Mega Pulse animations have been broken since Apocrypha was released. Someone else can bug report because last time I explained it in depth the Bug Hunter didn't understand me... --- Koyama Ise, Applying logic in areas where it is logical to do so. |

Yep and I can also confirm that Light Electron Blaster IIs are wholly invisible on your ship on TQ. The report I posted about the blasters was attached to a defect but it still isn't fixed. Really looks dumb currently, especially on a Destroyer where 8 light blasters make it look so much better when you can actually see them.
Oh, and a pic of it, in which you can clearly see the shadows, but not the turrets (yes they're fitted).
It's the same pic I used in my bug reports on the issues months ago and it's still not been dealt with. Along with the big Curse Model glitch which I've posted over three times now (and a bug report months ago) which is also still not fixed. How much detail do you need for such relatively small things that probably take all of eleven minutes to fix? 
P.S.: In case you can't find the Curse Model glitch, it's the front center window, the blue bit where you look straight through the model. Flipped a vertex perhaps? ------------------------ Low-sec is like sailing along the coast of Somalia...
