They had better introduce more alchemy reactions. The existing alchemy reactions provide a path for cadmium to replace dysprosium, which increased the demand on cadmium quite a bit. Now the demand for cadmium is going to increase drastically due to the much higher demand for crystallite alloy. This means we need an unrefined crystallite alloy reaction that replaces the cadmium with one of the 3 cheapest moon minerals, like atmospheric gases, otherwise there won't be enough crystalline carbonide.

I wonder what the hell is the deal with Thulium. Its R64. Its needed only for fermionic condensates pretty much, which are ubernerfed in Dominion, basically making it one of the most useless moon minerals out there, while being one of the most rare.

Corrections, Tungsten Carbide has hit 200p/u mark.
Thank you for playing the Brock Nelson game and have a nice day.

Meh, I think they'll stabilize somewhere around 160 after a while even before the patch. The somewhat funny part is how the primary material price, the advanced reaction price and the components price is still evoluating completely independent of eachother for most combos.
The funniest part however is how far dysprosium and promethium have already tanked, with the patch still almost 2 months away.

It's like oil. Good portion of 'the market' is just the usual speculation. As the speculators can be sure on one thing - the price will go down - then most of them are probably getting out of dyspo and promethium markets. Who knows - perhaps moving into carbides and those R16 ones that will most likley rise sharp even if CCP tweaks some numbers around for a bit to make that rise not as sharp.

The question now then is how far down will the carbides and other similar drop during their recovery from this weeks manipulations... when will be the best time to snap them up in bulk

This is so close to accurate it's not funny...
I created a xls that basically tells me how much complex reactions are needed to full all the T2 ships sold in a given time frame. The data harvesting is rather long and time consuming, but one thing was blatently clear.... The amount of movement of some reactions was 50 fold higher then the actual consumption.
Now, I know part of this is because if you are a T2 builder but you don't sell in Jita, you probably need to buy up stock, the place you get lots of stock for a good long time is Jita, so people buy up reactions in Jita then go build a HEAP of stuff, then sell the finished product elsewhere. However, the sheet doesn't include component sales, in which people buy up reactions somewhere else, sell the components in Jita, people buy the components and make ships out of the components.
So while the little XLS sheet I created was a great benchmark for usage I actually use it as a hint to which reactions where not getting manipulated very much. And it worked pretty damn well.
On the first page of this thread I posted a link to a picture which showed January to February 2009 Ship sales in Jita. If you look at Ferrogel's usage to build all those ships it was not even 3 million units. THREE MILLION UNITS!!
Yet even right at this very point in time when Ferrogel has seen a reduction of over HALF the movement it is STILL seeing 1-1.5mil units a DAY! How can 45 days of ship sales equaling to 3mil units of consumption equate into, at the time, an average of 1.5mil units a day.
The conclusion is a majority of the movement of all reactions is actually market manipulation, people buying stuff then reselling at a higher price. In times like this, the same unit of complex reaction could be purchased and sold many times over before it even gets used.
I'm redoing my sheet now before the patch and after just for stools and giggles. :)

How wrong can this be?
If you have ever baby sat market orders all day and all night trying to move something or trying to fill something, you would know sometimes orders are never sold to buy orders, and others they are never bought to sell orders. You can be sitting at the best price in both directions and see movement in only one direction. What you see as inacurate and misguided information is simply parts of different puzzles get done in Jita. It is way to far off to use jita as a sole source of info. my .02 isk worth

Oh, yeah, there are also small amounts of reactors/thrusters/shield emitters (the only things containing ferrogel) in T2 bubbles, ABs, MWDs, istabs, remote reps, shield boosters, shield and armor hardeners, repair drones and shield extenders... ...but all of them put together and they barely account for the (current) total consumption of, say, just HACs (actually, I doubt they even come close, but you get the idea).

while I love the idea of someone saying it's wrong, when all I offered is simple observation of in game information.. Why don't you do some research yourself.
Just jump on into the ---> The Forge <--- (Note here it's not just Jita), and look at Ferrogel, and see the total units sold or purchased... It's at least 1mil units a day.
Now go the extra mile that I went, get the total number of every T2 ship sold for a 45 days (You can use this buy clicking on each T2 ship, and adding up ALL the numbers of that ship sold every day), work out how many components those ships. Then work out how many of each complex reaction all those components use..
Oh wait you're trying to say that using Jita in this way makes the data incomplete.. OH NO!! ... Well OK, let's say Jita makes up for 10% of all T2 ship sales Yeah I'm shooting that low, to prove how absurd your rebuttle is..
SO those 3 Million units of Ferrogel for a whopping 10% of every T2 ship sold over the space of 45 days means that it's really 30 Million units of Ferrogel used in T2 Ships EVE wide.. SWEET!!!
Wait a second this was 45 days, 30 million units over 45 days = 666,666 units of usage a day!! OMG The Forge had movement of on average 1,500,000 a day, some days you'd see 2 units or 2.5 units a day.. Over 45 days thats 67.5 Million units worked on average..
OH yes, that right, the buddy below you said T2 modules also use Ferrogel, you and him are absolutely correct, the sheer number of mods sold and used over 45 days accounts for more then the Ferrogel used in ships over the same time frame... Why didn't I see this before!!
LOL What a joke!, why don't the both of you go run off and play in the market some more and let us big people talk about grown-up stuff.

Hardly, I sometimes enjoy a giving a good ribbing to those whom present the most ridiculous argument without thought to what someone else said. I couldn't help myself this time
