Last night PIE took its first actions against Hooligans Of War (HoW) and other pirates in the Misaba region since the offical war went active.
One pirate Raven from the Soul Cartel and three pirate cruisers and a frigate from Hooligans of War were destroyed in separate actions. Amarrian forces suffered no losses. We will not rest until these pirates and their allies cease and desist their hostile actions in the Kheram, Gemodi, Valmu, Mamet, Misaba regions and the neighbouring 0.0 areas.
Other corporations operating in the area are free to go about their business with the proviso that they respect Amarrian law and the jurisdiction of the Empire, that they do not pirate and that they are willing to act with the CVA to keep the region clear of criminals.
Here is a report from Deacon Ezar Vorbarra relating to the destruction of three HoW cruisers last night:

The burly Amarr Marines threw the two filthy pirates to the ground, blood dribbling from the corners of their mouths and from multiple cuts and bruises on their faces. "Priest" Falrach and "Priest" Valton had not come easily, but they could not escape superior Amarrian forces.
It was time for the Lord's holy judgement.
Archbishop nervously tugged at his white collar, marking him a priest of PIE's holy clergy. It was clear that he had never done this before.
Ezar had, many times in fact during the wars against the "Old Detroit Crime Syndicate" and "Biomass". Ezar adjusted his own collar, opened his book of scriptures, and began to read aloud. Archbishop lowered his head in reverence and prayer.
"The Amarr people came into the world and the world came into being.
Our illustrious ancestors freed their souls from the evils of the old world and created a new one.
The captive "Hooligans of War" pirates began to squirm uncomfortably. Ezar's prayer sounded too much like last rites...
The great Amarr Empire was founded to cultivate the spirit of man.
To do so the enemies of the outside had to be defeated and the enemies of the inside controlled.
More marines arrived from Ezar's command shuttle, carrying heavy wooden crosses. One was dropped on the ground in front of each pirate. Eyes wide, one of the pirates let out a feral scream as they both tried to bolt for the open space near the landing area.
Four marines caught the scum easily and held them fast, two others began to dig small holes in the ground near the crosses.
The Lord gave our Emperor the power to harness the Good and punish the Evil.
One of the marines began to pound a sign into the top of each wooden cross above the center. Each sign was painted with a single latin word: "PIRATA"
Despite the noisy pounding, Ezar continued:
Ever since, the Emperor has lived the lives of his subjects and breathed the air of authority."

"See that it is finished, I must fill out a report to our new CEO" Ezar said coldly.
Archbishop looked at the lives he was about to end and only nodded.
The pirates began to plead for their lives. Priest Valton begged, "Gaven, Ezar any chance you can just let us be?"
Gaven turned his head from the pirate in disgust, fingering the rapier always at his side. Ezar turned to leave. Archbishop picked up a hammer and set of iron spikes, handing them to the nearest Amarrian marine.
Ezar reached his shuttle and turned as he closed the door. He could see the marines in the distance moving the struggling pirate scum onto their new wooden prisons. The command shuttle door closed just as the screaming and pounding started.
Despite the noise, Archbishop faithfully delivered their last rites, the last words they would ever hear before their inevitable clone-reactivation.

As an ex-member of Soul Cartel i think i'm in a fairly reasonable position to comment on this situation. In my opinion (and i havent been in the area for a while now) HoW have some very very good pilots but never really brought them to bear as a full force. It would be interesting to know how many pilots PIE sent down to Misabaaaaaaa to take 1 raven and 3 cruisers in seperate engagements. It sounds to me like HoW were just caught napping and doubt you'll be as successful again.
The area around Kheram isnt as dangerous as it once was imo some quality pvp'ers have left for bigger and better things (and im not talking about meself here). PIE's [pitiful?] forces could probably be better used in another area. From when we fought HoW if you surround them with ships they rather sensibly dock lol. Anyway, have fun

In my opinion (and i havent been in the area for a while now) HoW have some very very good pilots but never really brought them to bear as a full force. It would be interesting to know how many pilots PIE sent down to Misabaaaaaaa to take 1 raven and 3 cruisers in seperate engagements. Yes they can dock and hide 24hrs a day for all we care... They have already shown a certain propensity for it...
Our goal is not to destroy them (well we will if we get the opportunity) but to make them realise that there are greener pastures elsewhere.
I have a feeling that a period of camping and prayers in local will have them looking for new homes where the locals are less likely to shoot back!

Well im not all that sure why you're bothering really its not as much a pirated region as it was 3 months ago and the only real danger is if you're from SA trying to get to and from empire through R3.
You tried to take out SC a few times without actually declaring war i think and i wasn't all that impressed with your combat skills, but i digress. Like i said good luck HoW, all you boys have fun down there

I can't believe I'm going to say this but......go PIE!
In my experience PIE also have some very very good PvP pilots. Most of them fight almost nightly against foes who actively fight back (unlike the foes most pirates choose), and they ARE prepared to fight when outnumbered (unlike most pirates). I wish PIE, DRS etc well with thier fight against the scourge of empire piracy, it'll be a long and often boring battle against foes who will more often than not dock, hide in safespots or log at every opportunity.
On the other hand, my sympathies lie with the pirates when PIE start to quote thier scriptures in local. I can attest to it being a more painful expereence than losing a ship in battle to them.

a) Hooligans is not part of the Soul Cartel.....exactly how many times does that have to be published.....actually i dont think they even occupy that part of space anymore......however there is if im not mistaken a Corporation called The Soul Cartel that does.
b) you may want to use a different term then crucifixtion... considering the dictionary term crucify where you derive your term from umh doesnt mean to engage someone in battle....it means to torment treat unfairly or cruelly. maybe the term our first engagement of hooligans of war might be a bit better perhaps.......yeah yeah so im a stickler for proper use of terms.......
well congrats on your first "win". just remember that winning a battle does not mean you have won the war. also what was the average experience of the player you were fighting and how many of you did it take to kill those 4 ships?
i know the last time i saw a PIE fleet there were about 7 apocs and several cruisers and frigs and intys (no doubt amarrian) against a fleet of about 7 HOW members, and you used a inty pilot from another corp as a scout and sling shot to the gate from misaba to r3.

a)for most of the night it was 10 of them and 10 of us in local, yes we did have more ships in the area. of cause pirates are well known for only fighting with even odds i am sure they have never ganked anyone, 
b)by reading the first post it clearly shows the distiction between HoW and soul cartel

just a quick question, something iv always wondered.
on a tactical note, isnt a "serious" problem using only amarr ships?, while i think its kinda cool, surely it puts u at a BIG disadvantage.. Guys are gonna be using radar ECM and going heavy on EM and thermal hardeners..

on a tactical note, isnt a "serious" problem using only amarr ships?, while i think its kinda cool, surely it puts u at a BIG disadvantage.. Guys are gonna be using radar ECM and going heavy on EM and thermal hardeners..

Your over confidence will be your downfall PIE. Yes you may be able to flood this area with many peeps in your amarr ships but will you be able to protect your miners and convoys coming up through safe space? We may not be able to match your numbers online at any one point but be sure will hit you where it hurts :). By war deccing us youve just evened up the odds.

Darth you can get Amarrian ships to do anything, it just takes some imagination. We have been using and specialising in them for a long time and have done okay
Anyway the pirates would also be unwise to just go for anti-Amarr setups as we will be working with our allies from the CVA and they do not have similar ship retrictions.

Darth you can get Amarrian ships to do anything, it just takes some imagination. We have been using and specialising in them for a long time and have done okay

With the new tech2 amarrian ships and components, many of our racial shortcomings are being addressed - albeit slowly.
For example, there are now Amarrian ships that have plenty of launcher slots and others with enough midslots to perform passable EW roles. Tech2 radar backups and an excessive number of lowslots on our ships allow us to ignore jamming attempts by all but possibly a dedicated blackbird.
While PIE sticks to one kind of ship, our CVA allies often fly gallente or caldari ships. It always helps to have a scorp, a megathron, or a raven backing us up.

PIE Save A Pirate Soul
As reported already PIE has been inflicting casualties on the pirates who infect low-sec Amarrian space.
This evening however we dispensed mercy as well as laser fire - and suceeded in turning a pirate from his dark path.
Priest Valton of HoW and his colleague Priest Volten had suffered three cruiser losses at the hand of PIE last night. This evening they again flew into the clutches of a PIE fleet.
One of the pair was immediately relieved of his Caracal and then his life. The other managed to flee from the fleet but was trapped in system.

You know I've always kinda liked PIE... even though they ganked my Scorpion some time ago now with serveral of their BS's (I'd been killing their miners so kinda deserved it ;) ) we still shared afew jokes in local and had a good laugh about it so all is well.
I also kinda like the HOW guys too so I'll be interested to see how this all pans out.. hope its done in the spirit of Eve.

Whilst I have no issue with PIE driving pirates from Amarrian controled spave, there arises the issue that you feel the need to also drive them from the surrounding 0.0 systems. As far as I was aware these systems are lawless and not under the control of the Amarrian empire.
You are still the master of propaganda Hardin. However, I get the feeling that you have an ulteria motive in driving these pirates from Amarrian space. I would not have had this feeling if you have not included driving them from the 0.0 space, which neither you or your empire has any right to. The fact that you've taken DRS along too, sounds like you intend to claim an area of 0.0 for yourselves. |

You will not be able to cover all the areas with your mass fleet and so will go your tactic of 4v1 or we dont fight..........
At some point the fight will be more even and at that point you will learn true pvp and not the gank fest you seem to think equals glorious victories.......

Its nice to see such a high level of intellect on these forums
During a players time within EVE he/she get to know a variety of other players, on both scales of society. Apparently he know some of these people somehow, but who are you who hide behind an alt to ridiclouse others? That speak more about your age than Skritt's.
Regarding PIE's attack on pirates and the likes on the low end of the social scale, good someone does it and if they got some sort of agenda behind it thats their business.

Kudos to PIE for the fight in R-3 tonight, smack free and conducted with dignity and respect. I take some pride from the fact we stood our ground and took you on. We took heavy losses but with a depleted and weakened fleet. Next time.....

BATTLEREPORT
This evening the pirate corp HoW teamed up with Fr33ks corp and set up a blockade in R3 system with two mobile warp disruptors. The pirates had 14 ships in the system including 9 battleships.
PIE had 5 battleships in R3 with some support ships. Another 3 PIE BS and a sympathiser's Raven were scrambled and swiftly moved to Misaba and jumped into R3 coordinating closely with the PIE forces in R3 who warped to the gate.
The PIE fleet concentrated its fire very effectively. We believe at this time that 7 of the 9 pirate BS were destroyed. Amarrian forces also destroyed another 5 other assorted HoW and Fr33k cruisers and interceptors.
The pirate's own warp disruptors prevented many of their pods from getting away from the battle and as a result seven pirates had their clones reactivated.
Amarrian forces lost no ships in the engagement.
In addition to the 7 pirate battleships destroyed in this battle a further HoW BS was destroyed by a lone PIE pilot, DarkMatters, this morning.
In its campaign against pirates active in low-sec Amarrian space PIE has so far destroyed 9 battleships (once the the 7 tonight is confirmed), approximately 8/9 cruisers and a number of smaller ships. PIE losses to date has been a single Crusader interceptor. Several HoW pilots have already seen the error of their criminal ways and left the Corporation...
We have to give both Fr33ks and HoW credit for having the guts to seek an engagement with PIE tonight and for their respectful behaviour in the local comms system following the engagement.
We would like to remind HoW and other criminals in the Kheram/Valmu/Gemodi/Mamet/Misaba area that their activities will not go unpunished. However it doesn not have to be like this. If these corporations accept 3 basic conditions PIE shall leave them in peace to conduct respectable business in this region.
The three conditions are:
1) Agree to respect Amarrian law while operating in the area
2) Make a public renouncmnnt of piracy and a commitment to not persue this path any longer
3) Agree to work with PIE in tackling other criminals either operating in the region at present or in the future
We hope that the pirates will see the wisdom of this in due course and join the path to enlightenment. If they do not then we shall continue to work to punish them for their sins.
Any Minmatars think of exploiting laxness in PIE's defence of Amarr during its campaign against the pirates should be aware that following its victory against the pirates PIE, working with CVA allies Dark Seraph, succeeded in destroying a terrorist Raven and Blackbird in Amarr.

Hmmmmm......How interesting
I must agree, fighting PIE was some of the most fun i have had in eve, The old days of camping Sarum prime were great, sitting at the JIP, waiting to see if PIE would jump in, most of the time they did, and quite often we were forced out of position, other times, we held our ground. Unfortunatly, Sarum was made into a 1.0, and many of the surrounding systems were increased in sec status also, which forced us out of the area. (At that time, and for the following 10-11 months, i though we would never meet again)
However..........
I have a feeling things are going to change in the very near future We may not be able to pirate in Sarum, or our old home systems, but we certainly can enter it once more. What fun would it be going all the way there and not fighting old freinds?
Well over the next few weeks, i'm sure you will see, hear and feel the dark force of huff entering Amarr space once more. Unfortunatly i can't stand to look at the amarians, as i feel like i'm about ready to turn into stone with just one glance.
When we do return you will have 2 options....FIGHT.....or crawl back to your caves and live on the rats like your race was intended to do.

This is what i experienced of the battle. Sittin at misaba g8 in r3, scanner looks all nice and blue, green and purple, then i see lots of yellow orange on the scanner, screen freezes 2 fps laaaaag, shields goin down, armor goind down poff! without firing a single torp or anything hehe. Would have been nice to see the fight. But i guess PIE did a good job but would have been nice to be able to fight back. I learned my lesson wihtout a doubt, dont fleet battle on a P4 1.9 !

The LEGION Corp has declared war on PIE in sympathy with the plight of their piratical brothers in Hooligans of War.
This morning in Amarr LEGION attempted to ambush a PIE member. They did not succeed!
The LEGION CEO lost her Apocalypse (dropping 6 MODULATED heavy lasers ). Another pirate interceptor was destroyed as well as a frigate whose pilot was podded.
Amarrian justice continues to prevail.
Operation Enlightenment has, in the past 6 days, seen the destruction of around 11 HoW/Fr33ks/LEGION/Soul Cartel battleships + aproximately 14 other assorted pirate vessels. HoW are camped nightly and they have lost over 10 members in the last week.
In that time PIE has lost two Interceptors and a friend's Raven.
Surely the Emperor God is blessing this operation to clear pirates from low-sec Amarrian space.

Due to some sort of temporal rift the war was brought forwards by 1 hour leaving myself at the mercy of the evil members of the PIE dictatorship.
People of Domain throw away the shackles of the over zealous PIE and join the free people that have kept this area free for all to do as they want.

So keep sending your fleets down to camp us we have no issue waiting you out as you may have noticed your presence in my home system is hardly impedeing my ability to conduct my business - eventually you will become complacent and the numbers will drop then you'll start to see action when I pick you off 1 by 1, something i've noticed youve generally avoided when you dont have a small fleet sitting in a nearby system.
Anyways as you can see a number my fellow pirate brethen have started taking an interest in events and I have no doubt we'll organise a little party for you soon (keep an eye out for the invite)
Finally I want to thank you all pie for rejuventating a series of systems that had otherwise become stagnant in the last few months, I look foward to visiting your POS's when you get em set up

Soul Cartel is still fighting as far as i know. what we are fighting for is our right too own a small peace of EvE like anyother corp or allance. we feel that brotherhood and honer is worth more then our ships and weath, so we fight on. we do not pirate thou we may seem like we are, most of us are more like freedom fighters,sick of the maga corps like stain or pi or Mass and other alliances pushing hard working eve players around and dictating there ways of gamming on us. backed up buy some of the game gro's who aid there corps too a unfar advantage over other corps. yes, we kill for our space but what maga corp or alliance wouldnt for what they sacraficed too achieve, i have never poded anyone myself. im shoure i can go down too hed and rat and mine all i wont right? without getting ganked? too be honst i have been poded 3 times only once by a pirate, most other times through ship losses and the other two podings where done by none pirates corps telling me i cant pass throu or war,so i dont buy your a pirate becouse you gank at a gate. its the only place too gank 96% of the time in combat. most times we would let corps in np. all they had too do was ask for a nap like anyother allinace. we have never not keeped are deals we have made with other corps.
there arnt many SC freedom fighters left since the short bus left. as there pals fight for what is left of our brotherhood some sold out to get rich of ore and value that more. this has put us at a big disadvantage. what i see is the last stand of the SC where we are 10 to 18 freedom fighters fighting against all odds like today 4 to 1, (thats BS we are talking about.) having with great effert and valor and self sacrifice along with our honorable allis fight too keep what little part of eve we ernd by our boold & our ships. for this we have ernd our right too that space and our home is where we spill our boold..
myself, i fight for what we had, a close nit famly that stain and pi aswell as the stain lakys of mass. would take from me. my corp. my frends. my honer. for this i will keep fighting.. even though i know i cant have back what was. my frends alaround me again.. one big happy famly. this pi and that wesle impire stain took from me.. this is why i fight stain and pi.. if thats not good enough then what would you fight for..
ps.. if this is just a police action then why am i seeing stain corps moving in. why do i see clock stain ship moving through, why do i see corps that should be way up north in FA in soul cartel space.. hmmm.. i know i havent sleeped in 24hr watching all this and trying too breakout of pi's blockaids. but im still not that slow yet.. keep fighting SC tommoro is another fight. cu there.. sleeeeeep! ps, i know i cant spell so dont bother too nap me on it.. :)

not instigating or flaming but just a point........you should be excited for shiva then
after shiva and the claimed space option, you WILL physically be able to do that and rightfully say that region is yours if you can fund that option and it will be visible on the regions map. You have to claim each system individually one by one. quite a task when you won't be fitting PIE to do that, you'll be fighting the Amarr Empire to claim that region and have it rightfully mapped as your own.

PIE r always talking **** to pirates and tell em that the only thing that they do is kill indy's and pod miners, and telling it is so easy, well in R3 last night, i traveled in my crappy fitted Badger and it had 50str left after npc attack and yet pie did not manage to kill it. i dont remember how many u where becose i was laughing my ass off. well it was fun passing u guys in my indy and maybe i will do it again

Operation Deliverance still goes on if you were worried.
In fact just this last sunday Fr33k lost six ships.
Due to superior amarran scouting, they were taken completely by surprise in Misaba's second asteroid belt. PIE's fairly small fleet proceeded to obliterate a Scorpion, a Caracal, a Griffon, a Blackbird, and a Thorax; narrowly missing a second Scorpion.
Fr33ks still outnumbered the PIE forces in the area after the battle, but they showed no stomach for a second fight and slowly dispersed. PIE did manage to intercept a Fr33k Typhoon as it tried to escape into mamet. This is to the loss of a single punisher to enemy fire.
I suggest going to pirate elsewhere than the Holy Amarran Empire of Doriam II. Or giving up your evil trade and repenting to your nearest deacon of the faith.
OOC: fun fight. Wish you guys had regrouped and tried again... that might have been really close.
